Hey Dave how do you install the Ivana voices so that they can be used with pilot2atc?

Thank You

All voices are installed to Windows using the voice vendor's install program.  Once they are installed, when you start P2A and look in the Voices tab of config, they should show up there.

If they don't show up, then they may not be the proper type: Desktop, 64 bit, SAPI 5 voices.

Yeah I see that I have two voices in my voice area (Windows 10) I tried to add more but had nothing but issues so I looked at one of your links and it got me to AT&T.  I Purchased two voices to test out for $35 now I need to see how to install it.  if they do work I’ll purchase another six.

Thank You

Damn really??? I was trying to avoid paying $45 a voice. I will check to see. Is it possible to send me a link to get the voices that will work with your program just so I can take the guesswork out of it. This mistake already cost me $40. 😭

I did go to the Ivona area and for $159 they I have 5 voices that comes with the program, then they have individual voices for $45 each. Which would be best in your opinion?

The $159 works out to about 32/voice, so that is obviously better if you're going to get that many.  That's what I did.

Ivona and a few others: http://nextup.com/  (AT&T are 32bit only and don't work).

Cepestral voices work. https://www.cepstral.com/store/desktop-products/Windows

CereProc 64 bit voices also work.  https://www.cereproc.com/en/products/windows_sapi

Another way to get more voices, if you have the nerve to make changes to the Windows Registry, is to make registry entries that make the Windows Mobile voices work as Desktop voices.

Could you post here a link to that discussion?

Thanks!

Ok Dave Awesome So i now have 7 voices and I'm pretty happy with that. Quick question I know in the past that there were issues with pilot2atc crashing when using more than one Ivona voice, Has this been sorted out or is there something else I would need to do?

Thank You

No it only works with Windows 10.

This should all be resolved now.  That's one of the main reasons for moving to 64 bit.

Hi Dave,

One of my CereProc voices is not working.  The program is giving me an error message saying it can't find the entry point.  But, the other voices are working.
