The XP11 G1000

Featured Replies

Sort of a small showcase of the XP G1000 beta release.  It is a default avionics package in the Cessna 172 and Cirrus Jet.  What I really like about these avionics is the ability to update the navdata as it is tied to default database.  The displays are also very very clear, even at further distances.  It's by no means a fully featured G1000 (not as good as Flight1 king air in P3D for example), but for default package I was able to navigate from PSP to ONT with the GPS guiding the avionics.  Routing was KPSP CATH1 PSP V388 PDZ KONT.  I wasn't able to input airways but I think I read there is a way or the feature is coming.  So here's some night shots of some different pages and functions/screens in the Cirrus jet.

Above I was flying the visual Ry 26L at KONT but was too high, I did pull up the ILS to see how the display functioned... looks pretty good!

Just love how realistic this lighting is...  exactly how I remember at larger airports with the green centerline lighting.

Nice pics.   And most importantly (unlike the FSX/P3D or Carenado default G1000s), 'Direct to' works.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for taking the time for the pix and comments. I'll have to give the LR G1000 a check out. After Carenado's G1000 faults I wasn't too enthusiastic. I hope LR will continue to fine tune their version.

And so does activate leg.  It's not a nice as the F1 G1000 rendition but it's pretty decent, and the graphics are super sharp even at far zooms.

You have to enable it with the softkeys on the bottom (like in the real one)...  click on PFD and a few options will pop up.
