December 12, 20178 yr Hi, I was having problems with performance, getting about 15 fps less than what I normally should. I am trying to have P3D build a new cfg, but every time I go and delete the cfg, my setting are not reset and a new, fresh, cfg is not built. Does anyone know what might be causing my setting and CFG to be "stuck:"? Jarad Braddock
December 12, 20178 yr Author @onebob Yes, I deleted the who P3D v4 folder in my app data/roaming once that didn't work. It's like a different CFG is controlling my p3d Jarad Braddock
December 12, 20178 yr You should have deleted the Prepar3D.cfg folder in this location:- C:\Users\????????\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.cfg if you have deleted the Prepar3Dv4 folder you will need to do a repair job. I was asking did you delete the ..... Prepar3D.cfg.txt .... file by mistake. bob
December 12, 20178 yr Hello Jarad, Welcome to the Avsim Forums Do you have just Prepar3D v4 on your computer now ? Is it possible you have the left overs from Prepar3D v3 as well ? ------------- If you have deleted the Lockheed Martin or Prepar3D v4 folder, Not to worry this folder(s) are generated folders and will generate again when you launch Prepar3D Local Disk (C:) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Roaming ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v4 -------------- Do you have the Estonia Migration Tool (EMT) Installed ? If so can you Disable it and try the steps below. Either way try the steps below..... This is the Prepar3D.cfg file, Is this what you are looking for ? Copy the Tex below and Paste it into your Windows search bar and click on the result, this will bring you directly to the correct location %PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 Let me know what you see at this location, Does it look like my Image ? Maybe you could take an Image of the contents of this folder and post it into your next post
