Recommended Posts

Hi guys

It seems with my computer issues ( needing to format ) My activations have expired. I have sent support an email, I'm just wondering if you think this might be done before this weekend? To my understanding they don't work weekends? Just wondering as i really want to fly this weekend lol

All you can do is wait. They're usually quite fast. Did you send the email to licensing@prepar3d.com?

BTW, if you need to reformat, just uninstall P3D and when you reinstall your license will automatically renew. If you just delete or format - no go.

Hey

I did send to that address yep. Silly me didn't uninstall before a format the last couple times...  Which of course has now caused this re activation issue. Do you know what time zone they are located? I'm in the UK and i'd guess its a US based office?

Thank you for the reply :)

It typically takes more than 24 and less than 48 business hours to get a response.  So, you probably won't get anything until next week.

Not to be pedantic  .

But if the sun stille goes from east to west, I guess they are behind UK.

Hi guys, I sent an email to licensing. What is the usual turnaround for these things?

Rather archaic methods of handling licensing. I’ve just come back to P3D from FSX and done 2 fresh installs of windows and P3D because I screwed the first install up.

It is rather frustrating to have to wait for this.

Sometimes hours, sometimes days.  The longest I had to wait was 3 days.

I wish there was a way to self-reset the activations via their web page.

If, when you uninstall, you opt to keep the existing activation you won't have a problem. Obviously, if you delete it you will have to reactivate.

I periodically fresh install windows every 6months or so for years.

Having a limited. Amount of activations was never a consideration in fsx, which is where I just came from.

2 hours left, that makes 1 day wasted/elapsed that could otherwise be spent testing PMDGs 748.

When I do that I just contact them a day or so prior so everything is ready when I am.

Still a preposterous procedure if looked at subjectively.
