January 27, 20188 yr I just installed the latest windows security update, KB 4056894 and net framework update 4074880 and my i5 2320 seems to be working much harder with P3D than it did before update. Anyone else notice this. I wonder if this is part of the problem that was announced a couple of weeks ago with the Intel Processors. I think I will roll his update back and not install any more updates. Can't afford a new PC .

As far as I can see from the description when googling the updates, neither have anything to do with either Spectre nor Meltdown! It's coincidental. To be honest, I would highly discourage you, to avoid updating your computer! Best regards,--Anders Bermann-- ____________________Scandinavian VAPilot-ID: SAS2471

I wish they would publish which update will be for Spectre and meltdown, so folks would know.

Well, from the article, "Frisk also noted that Microsoft has already issued a fix for this bug earlier this month, after he alerted the company about it." That is one significant "oops", but if you're current with your updates this "Total Meltdown" issue should be resolved.
