January 31, 20188 yr P3Dv4.1 has commenced to start up without me actually executing the startup. I normally start it from SIM starter, but of late it had commenced to start up on its own when I log into my computer. It is not in the list of startup programs on my Task manager. The last alteration I made to P3D was adding the Pilots FSG2018FTX program, other than that I've made no changes, other than GeForce Drivers? Anyone have any ideas? Brian (BJ from OZ)
January 31, 20188 yr I have noticed the same issue of it starting on its own. It never did this before 4.1 that I can remember. It’s not every time either for me. I know it closes before I ever log off so I’m not sure why it is starting up either. January 31, 20188 yr It's a new feature of Windows 10: programs that were still running when you shut your computer down will be opened automatically on a restart. So make sure P3D has completely shut down before you turn your PC off. There is not much you can do about this, so it seems. The odd thing is that 1. not every programs restarts automatically when left running and 2. it seems that P3D also sometimes restarts when I was sure it had been shut down completely. Luckily it hardly happens on my pc.
January 31, 20188 yr I am doing this from memory but.. 1) click start menu 2) type "run" 3) open the above and type in "msconfig" 4) go to startup tab and make sure p3d hasn't managed to get it self in the start up list some how Thanks
February 2, 20188 yr This only started with a recent Windows 10 update. Waiting for a complete shutdown of Prepar3d before closing Windows seems to be the cure.
