  1. I also experienced troubles with APU start. I discovered the following: from turnaround AC state in EFB, I press APU FUEL button, keep then APU START/STOP button depressed few secs and release. Start will light-up and APU will initialize. Go figure!
  2. Looks great to me (way better than the Fenix IMO), maybe because my porting to MSFS 2024 was free. Will take her out for a swing in the next days and see how she’s doing. Cheers
  3. DLSS mania. Badly looking forward to SU1 for a change of subject.
  4. Exactly regis9, you got it correct. Same for me: I had to assing a (toe brakes) L+R axis to my TM Pilot configuration in order to have the brakes released when entering the cockpit. This from today (since yesterday no workaround needed, toe brakes were in the released position). No Idea what changed from then. Cheers,
  5. Unfortunately it's a no go for my system: MSFS hangs repeatedly on loading flight, and in-flight (A32NX FWB dev version). I had to remove it from my community folder. Absolutely no probs with previous versions of the add-on (no other add-on for ships traffic installed). Will try again next release. Happy flying
  6. May help in the meantime: http://www.avsim.com/files/file/65-avsim-crash-to-desktop-guide-for-fsx-p3d-fs9/ Cheers,
  7. I'm now using my old HDD as back-up: I created a small partition on it and cloned a fresh image of my (P3D) SSD, just-in-case the new solid goes south. Cheers,
  8. Hi Bob, Just made it couple of weeks ago. Installed a new SSD in my rig, cloned old HDD on it (AOMEI backupper free), switched drive letter between the two drives (AOMEI partition assistant, again free) and that's it. Everything woks flawlessly. No sweat and no need to reinstall a thing. Cheers, edit: http://www.aomeitech.com/
  9. Maybe it is, but I definitely like it. Happy flying (gaming?) ! Cheers, Edit: seriously, my (P3D install) HDD is normally 0% frag, maybe you may say it's not one of the fastest HDD on the maket today, could be this one of the reasons while I see improvements?
  10. Yeah, here in CH around 300,00 CHF (305,00 USD) for a Samsung 850 Evo 1TB, definetely a good investment IMO. Cheers,
  11. Not for my install: several airports and FreeMesh X in the same image, more than 120GB. Cheers,
  12. I switched to P3D from FSX since almost one year, when I decided to buy a new desktop completely dedicated to flightsim. I was used to run P3D from an HDD (Seagate Barracuda 2TB 64MB Cache 7200rpm SATA3) and I was pretty satisfied with the performances of the sim: I could flight my PMDGs at 35-40 fps average in cloudy weather but…I was tormented by microstutters (really micro, fractions of sec) especially on the ground, in payware airports with GSX services enabled (i.e. when parking distance meter kicked-in), during ASN/AS16 wx updates, sometimes in final before touchdown. I use to live with them since FSX and at the very end, I simply quit the struggle of having the sim 100% fluid. Last week, out of curiosity I decided to make the move: I got myself a new SSD (Samsung 850 Evo 1TB), cloned my HDD on it, changed drive letter and…O-M-G! Not only loading times practically zeroed, but also my nasty microstutters were gone. I was even used to have 1-2 sec black textures on the vehicle demo window in P3D scenario setting…gone for good. There’s also visible speed-up in the way the sim loads UTX terrain textures underneath, during flight at jet’s cruise levels. Not placebo here I’m afraid: completed several long flights without a single stutter, and sim’s smooth like silk, can’t believe it, eventually I made it, at least til next new addon install . My recommendation is, if you’re “one of the few” like I was, to run P3D from an HDD, before getting crazy with AM tweaks and Process Lasso settings, do yourself a big favor: clone your P3D drive on an SSD and maybe like me, you won’t be disappointed. Maybe everything above is obvious for the most, but I believe’s worth sharing it. Happy flying!
  13. http://www.avsim.com/topic/490977-help-me-pick-a-new-monitor-for-p3d/?p=3445242 Still happy with it. Cheers,
  14. Or get yourself a Gsync monitor :Big Grin: Cheers,
  15. Hi Jiri, Did you recently update P3D client? See if this may help: http://www.avsim.com/topic/491899-p3d-335-some-in-sim-windows-missing/?p=3453591 Cheers,
  16. Quite convincing (to me) overcast, over Germany today: AS16 + ASCA Full Dynamics
  17. Hi Maarten, Did you try to delete your shaders cache folder and let P3D rebuild a new one? http://www.avsim.com/topic/479630-where-to-find-my-shaders-folder-prepar3d/?p=3337692 Restoring your original ShadersHSL folder may also be a solution, if you have a back-up. Cheers,
  18. http://www.avsim.com/topic/491899-p3d-335-some-in-sim-windows-missing/?p=3453591 Cheers,
  19. Hi Richie, GSX window (any Scaleform window, since 3.2) can be manually resized. http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=117688 Hope it helps. Cheers,
  20. I think you're ready to hit the real science here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/477057-a-frame-time-analysis-of-p3d-v3-effects-of-cpu-affinity-frame-lock-and-ht/?p=3315905 This forum is an invaluable source of infos, thanks to everyone's contribution and willing to share. Hope you'll find your sweet spot pretty soon, and enjoy your sim (I do!). Happy flying,
  21. Claude, I'm going with FPS unlimited in P3D (no external limiter) and VSync off as recommended for a Gsync monitor, and hence Gsync on in NCP. No clue for your texture loading problem. For the stutters: check the post! The author's talking about Nvidia Control Panel, not NVI. Cheers,
  22. Salut Claude, Already tried this (you never know)? http://www.avsim.com/topic/479401-probable-stutter-fix-nvidia/?p=3335572 Worked for me. I rarely have stutters since then (AM=85). Cheers, EDIT: GTX 1080 came after (upgraded from a GTX 970 Strix), and it didn't add much of a smoothness in my case, only a bunch of degrees more in my PC case (and several bucks less in my wallet).
  23. Ciao Aaron, Indeed you have a perfectly working follow-me car feature in FSDT GSX. You can invoke it either for taxing to the RWY or parking to the gate at the end of the flight. I use it all the time. I have a (negligible) stutter when the parking distance/alignment readouts appear above the marshaller, but apparently there's a way to disable it. https://www.fsdreamteam.com/products_gsx.html Cheers,
  24. Hi Bart, Check your FSUIPC log, maybe your close to full VAS depletion (even though you should hear the nasty windows ding if you have it enabled in FSUIPC.ini). If the case, reduce your P3D scenery settings. Cheers,
