May 20, 200620 yr Hi Chris,Doug is right. This sums up the package on one page:http://forums.flightsim.com/dc/dcboard.php...g_id=5331&page=Jim Karnhttp://www.flight1.com/images/df727/ga727_box.jpg
May 20, 200620 yr Historic Jet Group (see addy below) has freeware DC-8s, various models, that are quite well done, though a couple of years old. Panels and sound packs are available there, also.Search here and Flightsim.com for the 727 and you'll find loads of various paint for Eric Cantu's excellent 727-200, also freeware. You might also simply search for Eric Cantu and look at everything, including DC-9s and MD-8Xs, that's available.Hope this helps,Bobhttp://www.simviation.com/hjg/
May 20, 200620 yr Dreamfleet are doing a DC8 but it will be for FSX. The 727 available from Flight1 though is superb.
May 20, 200620 yr Commercial Member http://www.avsim.com/pages/0106/727/727.htmThat should keep you happy on the 727 front for a while and as suggested in my sig and in another post here, the DC-8 is on the way next.Dreamfleet Project ManagerGreatest Airliners - DC-8Greatest Airliners - 727 Whisperjethttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg Cheers Paul Golding
May 21, 200620 yr The 727 from dreamfleet is both a joy in the sounds right down to the autopilot. It's an aircracft that will demand your total attention but will reward you with a landing that is picture perfect if you follow the procedures. I often fly PMDG's 737 but when I want a more challenging flight I fire up the 727. I think the best part is going through the checklist and references that will always take the outside temperature into affect. There is even a part of the checklist that will let you do a 2 engine taxi:)-
May 21, 200620 yr Author Chris,Dreamfleet 727 is my favourite of all, freeware or payware. Great bang for the buck, in fact, probaly more than you'd think and lots of fun. One of the most realistic planes in FS today. I hear they are working now on a DC-8 too; cant wait! :)In the meantime, there is also great freeware for the 727 and DC-8 out there. HJG and others have very nicely done models and panels, I fly the DC-8 from HJG regularly. I'd look for them in the file libraries of the sim sites. My 2 fitty cents ..:)regards,Macs :)
June 12, 200619 yr 727: Payware there is the Dreamfleet and Captain Sim. Freeware there is the Vistaliners and great panel by Probst.DC8: Historic Jetliners Group freeware should fit the bill until the one by Dreamfleet comes out.Regards, Carlos
