MADDOG Brake Issue 2.0

Featured Replies

Good afternoon!

I seem to have an isue with the brakes constantly being applied (Not parking brake).  I have the CH Pro Rudder Pedals and have (re)calibrated and checked null zones, however they still seem to be on causing the brakes to burn and take off rolls to be miles long.

I have tired with other aircraft, PMDG, default etc and the brakes are fine.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks in advance,

James

Good afternoon,

I have the same problem in FSX. When I use the Brakes of my Saitek Rudder Peddals the brakes don't release anymore and the aircraft is unable to move.
I checked everything and couldn't find a solution. Even loading a new aircraft state doesn't change anything. I've never had this problem with any of my other aircrafts before.

It would be great if there was a quick solution because I really look forward to fly this amazing aircraft.

Thank you.

Ditto here. She is stuck firmly to the ground. Useless. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No change. I also have the Saitek gear/FSX. Tried different airports with no change. Definite bug.

Absolute pain in the backside.  Also I have ZERO flightdeck lighting, except Flood Light

Have you guys checked if you need to invert your brake axis? The brakes work fine on my side.

@captjames have you installed RealLight?

I have checked the axis and they're fine!

And yes I have....unfortunately.

Yes. My brake axis is normally inverted for every aircraft I own.

Good try though Ephedrin

Huh Oh! Was  going to pick this up quick but better wait and watch now.

Same issues on the FSX side.  Tried with the reverse axis checked and unchecked for the brakes and nothing changes.  Awaiting a fix or instructions......

Colin...

Hello all:

Is there anyone out here running FSX who are NOT seeing locked brakes?

Thanks

My brakes lock as well. As soon as I apply them, they lock up. And the parking break won't engage.

I have the same issue with FSX. Tried all the suggestions made so far and nothing works.

One question I'll pose, as I do not yet have this add-on--does the MaddogX simulate wheel chocks like the PMDG birds do?  With the PMDG panels, the brakes are set internally in the sim if the chocks are in place.

Barring that, if you use FSUIPC, you can go in the logging page and set FSUIPC up to display the (unsigned 16-bit) values at offsets 0BC4 and 0BC6 to see what the brakes are doing...0 is off, 16383 is full on.  When troubleshooting brake problems in the past, I've set it up to display the two brake offsets this way to watch them in an FS window as I moved the control axes.

Good luck

Not sure about the chocks right now but I have seen this issue with GSX especially when you abort the pushback. A couatl restart and a short pushback might help IF they did this.

,

I think this started after my first pushback. It kept pushing to the point that the plane was almost off the airport. I tried setting the breaks, which stops the push with PMDG aircraft, and that did not work. So, I had to close FSX. Tried again on the shortest push available and it would not stop either. So, these two bugs may be related.
