How to get RealityXP GTN 750 working?

I just purchased the RealityXP GTN 750 for P3D V4 and can not find out how to get it working in any of my A2A aircraft. It also does not help that I cant find any tutorial or PDF stating how to use it or install it in P3D. How am I supposed to figure out how to use it if there is not any information?

I tried changing the GPS in my A2A Cherokee but that did not work, then I tried looking for add ons in P3D and did not see it, I launched the Garmin Trainer but that is not what I am supposed to do, I just want to figure out how to install the GPS in my plane, what am I doing wrong?

Suggest posting at the Reality XP support forum, here at Avsim.

The a2a aircraft do not natively support the RXP GTN, but instead the Flight1 GTN.. but there are workarounds..

That's great...So I pretty much threw $50 down the toilet and cant get a refund...

What workarounds? If there are workarounds does it fix everything or do I just get half usability? Also, if there are workarounds on my end then why hasn't there been a fix from developers?

I am probably just going to go ahead and request a refund from Fkight1.com, I don't want to wait for 30 days, nothing may happen, then can't get a refund.

I don't like how it was nearly impossible to find information on compatibility, I swore I saw that it would work with A2A aircraft, and their website has no information on it, just that it is functional in P3D. I do not understand this, I have read information stating it works in A2A aircraft:

"1: The Reality XP GTN 750/650 is fully compatible in the VC. As for the auto pilot you might want to get answers from other customers. "

Yet I cant find any information on how this guy has it working in his sim. Then I read that A2A doesn't currently support it, and users have to fix it themselves? I did not buy this to fix it myself, I don't even know how I would do that, and if this is the case developers should have made a fix already.

The closest thing to a user manual are the Garmin trainer ones, which don't state anything pertaining to the sim, and a proof of purchase file

Find Reality XP GTN Touch FltSim.pdf in C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\GTN Simulation\FltSim.

I see you are new here, and my advice to you when purchasing a new product is to read the supplied manuals. You will find instructions on how to install the product correctly and how to integrate it into the sim.

Most of all, be patient. There are plenty of users here who are willing to help, as well as the developer. He may not be here due to different time zones, but he will be here.

Now, I do not use A2A products, so in that aspect I cannot help.

It is up to you if you want a refund, but if you do as I suggest, you will see that this is a very good product and is easy to install. I have it installed in the Real Air Turbine Duke, which was never designed for it, and it was a snap.

I cant find out how to post a picture, but all I found was a file that is a ReadMe.rtf which opens a Word document and does not say anything other than the user manual is found here:

Please ensure Prepar3d or Flight Simulator is not running during the installation. Setup guides you through all the steps necessary to install the product and its components.

The first time the product installs, setup downloads the Garmin GTN Trainer software installer from the Reality XP servers for your convenience, and save a copy on your hard drive. Should you need to reinstall the product and/or the Garmin Trainer, setup will offer the choice to use the saved Garmin Trainer installer directly from your hard drive or to download a new copy.

@bills511 I assume the information was there that told you how to install it?

 

If it is not that difficult to do then I don't mind doing it, but for now I am going on a maze to find some PDF files that may or may not exist.

 

Could you or someone else provide the manuals? Because so far I have not found them and "All Programs/Reality XP" does not exist as far as I am aware.

You have installed the software right? The Flight 1 wrapper then rxpGTN-FSIM-Setup.exe.
You should find the manual (Reality XP GTN Touch FltSim.pdf) here C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\GTN Simulation\FltSim otherwise the installer failed or didn't complete.

You should have this folder C:\RealityXP. And does it contain this license file? RXP-GTN750-FS.lic
