March 16, 20188 yr Hello there everyone. I'm a new member and as the title says, there is a weird texture on my WIII Runway. I downloaded Ray Smith's AFCAD for WIII(Jakarta Soekarno Hatta). One day while playing,I suddenly found a weird texture on one of the runways. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. Please teach me how to attach pictures. And please tell me if I posted this in the right topic.

First, I moved your post from the Tricks and Tips section to the FSX forum. If you are using another sim let me know and I’ll move it to the appropriate forum. You can attach screen shots by uploading them to a file host like Flickr or your choice, and then posting the link here so we can see what it is. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
March 16, 20188 yr Author https://www.instagram.com/hydrotic.sphere/ The very recent post of this account(which is mine) has the problem. The weird square-shaped text on the start left runway is the problem. Is there any solution to this?

March 16, 20188 yr Author Nope,I haven't. But if I do,will it remove the scenery and revert back to the original scenery?
March 16, 20188 yr Administrators I just tried the Ray Smith Airport download for WIII and it looked OK. I noticed another download that was called WIII AFCAD and was by Marten Weber. I just want to be sure I'm using the right download. The Ray Smith one had 2 files, one goes into the AddonScenery/Scenery folder and the other into Scenery/Global.Scenery folder. March 16, 20188 yr Author Scenery/Global? Both of mine went into the Addon scenery/scenery file.None went into Global.I think I should retry the installation again.

Yes it would but, as a first step, temporarily removing it would confirm that that particular addon was the source of the issue. However I think it is likely that Charlie has given you the solution! March 17, 20188 yr Author Hmmmm.... If I can remember, the square thing appeared after I tweaked my FSX.cfg file.Maybe if I revert it back to the original, the square thing might be gone.
March 17, 20188 yr Author I tried everything. Removed scenery-Square still appears. Redo the installation-Square still appears. Used a different scenery-Square still appears. Changed the FSX.cfg into the original-Square still appears.
March 17, 20188 yr This is a long shot but did you install any other scenery around the same time? The reason I ask is that years ago when I was using FS9 I suddenly had some odd structures appear at the end of runway 34R at Seattle, WA. As I hadn't added anything to my Seattle scenery, at first I couldn't work out what had happened but eventually discovered it was related to a freeware airport in Sweden (!) that I had installed around that time. I have never had anything similar happen in FSX but I guess it is possible! Bill Edited March 17, 20188 yr by scianoir
March 17, 20188 yr Author I am not sure too, hahaha. When I first installed this scenery,I think I was also downloading other Ray Smith AFCADs. Everything's fine with the BGL file.Maybe it's similar to your FS9 problem too?I'm not sure.
