That only takes problems with it... When that prop ahead of ya stops, it really gets hot!

I've "only" been flying gliders IRL as a pilot, and oldendirt let me tell ya - it's a 2nd to none experience - excluding what I believe to be flying helis... but's that's another story :-)

Over forty years of flying, never got near a glider.  Living in Alaska, suitable lifting currents were fairly rare - especially in winter.

I flew gliders fairly early on after starting with SEL aircraft.  I love flying them.  Pure flying, where you fly the wing, not the big fan.

Then there's the time when the big fan stopped about 8 miles from the nearest airport!  Was happy to have those glider hours under my belt at that point!

I recall a difference in the glide with the fan windmilling and without.
