Disappointment at Wing Creations Tokyo Narita scenery

Hi Dan,

I have done some more testing. Indeed it appears that the airports are misplaced. Often the Navigraph moving airport chart shows the aircraft either on the grass or on a generalised grey area.

I have raised a topic with both Imaginesim for ZSPD and Wing Creations for RJAA to see if there is a cause in common or that I have not installed correctly.

I will update when I have more information.

Kind regards, Richard

This free navdata update will also install a new up to date magnetic variation file, try this and if it is not fixed then the developers did place the locations wrong

Looks like an answer from Imaginesim for ZSPD. This may be an answer also for the same problem with RJAA. But I have not heard of such a problem before.

"Hi Richard,

Thanks for your email. The disagreement is between FSX/P3D and AIRAC. I’m
sure that in the real-world, on which AIRAC is based, that the Navigraph
software is correct. The trouble is that FSX/P3D puts the runways at a
slightly different location, so we figured that more sim pilots use FSX/P3D
without AIRAC and had to go with the default position.

It can be annoying, I fly PMDG all the time myself. But in this case there
was little we could do.

Regards,
Fran"

Cheers, Richard

I've found this to be a common problem with some of the sceneries that I have built.  I also see it a lot on certain sceneries with the aircraft position in Real Traffic.

I've been using the Wing Creations RJAA for a while in P3dv4.2 without any problems.  I have not noticed any problems with misplaced taxiway signs, but I only go to the NW cargo area.  The parking spots also agree with what I show on my company supplied airport charts.

That’s a different airport (Haneda RJTT not Narita RJAA) and different vendor.

Don’t feel bad - I actually flew to the wrong one last week! 😂
