Always grey clouds AS16, ASCA, REXSF

Featured Replies

Hi all

Well, my pc died (long lvie windows update)

but hey, what better things to do when the weather is beautiful outside, then spending it on reinstalling everything..

I noticed lately (before the crash..) that my clouds always looked, grey, gloomy, extreme.

Even though the weather was gorgeous irl, with some nice white puffs.

But, not in teh sim. What controls this? I have AS16, ASCA and REXSF for the. I just removed my shaders, but still.

Any tips?

Hi Victor,

I can try to assist if you tell me which specific features you're utilizing from each of the products you listed above.

I also reported the same awhile ago, and I'm not sure why my clouds also see greyish. I am using Active Sky Next P3Dv4, Rex Skyforce 3D. I use Rex for the 3D clouds and textures, sounds, cloud sync only and Active Sky as my weather engine. I also use PTA as well.

Gerard, clouds should render in as conditions require and there really should be no need to spend even more money just to achieve what should be possible "out of the box".

I'm not sure if the OP is using ASCA and SkyForce together. That could cause issues? The combination should be AS16 + ASCA or AS16 + SF (with the SF Wx engine turned off).
