Any chance you can do a video with the MSI overlay or Precision OCX overlay?  I'm puzzled at why one GPU is maxed at 99% and the other fluctuating (I would have expected both to be fluctuating)?

Cheers, Rob.

Iam sitting on 4g live out in the bush, it always like that no clue way

I normally run 30hz in that case the cards usge is around 25-30% and on hard hitting airports on night one card can have 90% and second 85% usage never 100% but with singlecard  hit the roof and the frames dive

Well, SLI or not SLI, it shows that when the novel 1180 series are out, it might still be worth updating my single 1080Ti. Honestly, I did not expect that P3Dv4 profits that much under heavy load scenarios, but actually it is a good sign that LM's plan to shift load to the GPU actually works pretty well. And: a GPU can be more easily upgraded than a CPU :-)

Personally, I use my rig for plenty of other games and because of this, SLI is not an option for me. And yes, honestly spending another 1000 bucks for a second 1080Ti is also not an option ;-)

Besides that: just performed a flight from EDDH to LSZH yesterday evening. No blurries, smooth gameplay. Was nice to see. However, again I got about 30-40% lower FPS at arrival in LSZH compared to a scenario where I start in Zurich. This I still don't understand, checking the HWInfo after touchdown with 18FPS, the CPU was running at 5.0GHz on all cores, the GPU was running at 1926MHz as it should and the temperatures were ok. So, from the hardware-side, it was exactly as always, but the performance was reduced... Strange thing. Is there a thread in the LM forums I could share this?

Greetings, Chris

This is what I see too and what I mean.

Like V4.3 does not release scenery after having flown over them...

Here is the new AS bus  , standing at ESSA fair wheater day , and there deafault settings i dont get it 50fps single and 70fps SLI.

this is with 8700K 5.3ghz htoff and here is another with SLI and the 8700K at 4.3ghz  difference 1ghz confusing yes, with 4.3 you see that aim cpu bound but at 5,3 iam close to bottleneck the 2 x1080TI

Gerard and Chris ,did a 16 hour sim session starting ESSA-LCLK-ESSA-EGSS-ESSA only refuling dont shut down the sim or moved the airplane(FSL A319) , see no difference can be that i run 30hz?

You are proving that SLI is working and showing a very good performance gain.

Thanks for the tests. They are very helpfull.

Quick question: Have you lowered the 'MaxRegionsPurgePerFrame=' number in Prepar3d.cfg? IIRC, the default value is 16 and a lower value will keep scenery data in memory longer.

Could this be a factor for you?

No , no tweaks.

I have ordered another 1080 Ti OC , the same as I had.

Lets see what that brings ..😎

Now THAT definitively IS a capitalist way of "solving" performance issues

You are so right...

If I count my 737-800 realsize cockpit in total + all software = PPL + small aircraft 🙄

@GSalden
keep an eye on your temps with a second GPU as it will increase heat while reducing your air flow volume inside your case; which again alter you current established baseline for heat management,

you'd be surprised the passion people have for this hobby, i know i was!

this is over a 2 million dollar motion platform privately owned!
the owner streams live from the cockpit daily on twitch,
