VHHX 'Not in Data Base' Even With Latest AIRAC

Featured Replies

VHHX file exists in PMDG\SIDSSTARS folder and also in PMDG\NavData\wpNavAPT and latest AIRAC installed via Navigraph subscription (cycle 1809), but whenever try and enter VHHX into FMC receive error 'VHHX Not in Data Base'.  Also when try to import PFPF flight plans involving VHHX receive error message 'Invalid Route Uplink'.  Please advise how to resolve

Perhaps helpful for others if you let us know what you did to resolve it...

Please tell us 😳

I’m not the OP, but I know how he probably fixed it. In the folder that contains the Navigraph nav data, is a file called APRT_RWY.DAT A new copy of this file is provided by Navigraph with each new monthly AIRAC update, but sometimes certain airports are missing in the Navigraph version.

The way to fix the problem is simply to delete the file from the NAVDATA folder. If you then load either the PMDG 747 or 777 (any variant), a new copy of this file will be automatically created, and it normally fixes the issue of known airports missing from the FMS database.

Loading the 737 will not recreate the file, since the NGX FMS does not use it.

APRT_RWY.DAT has nothing to do with Navigraph, it is a PMDG generated file that as you point out gets stuck updating on occasion.

I thought it was part of the Navigraph download because it has the same date stamp as my most recent Navigraph update. However, after deleting all files and downloading again (without loading the aircraft), It indeed does not reappear.

In any case, deleting and letting the aircraft load re-create it seems to solve most “not in database” airport problems with the PMDG 747 or 777

So Navigraph took VHHX out after having it in since cycle 1713?

Incorrect

VHHX remains in Navigraph and is included in the current 1809 cycle

Awesome, thanks for checking. I have a flight scheduled for tomorrow into VHHX.
