ChasePlane now frozen in cockpit view-need help

Recommended Posts

CP has been working fine, but when i started my sim up with P3Dv4.2 and win 10 recently,  now CP does not load my views.  I see the CP dialogue box, but the views don't switch.  They seem stuck in cockpit view and i boot my sim up with the piper cub J-3 simple aircraft. I have re-booted, closed and restarted the sim, everything except a re-install.  Has anyone had these issues that just popped up like this? I am using CP v4.222 Beta.I've searched the forums and can't find a similar post to this problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

CP is locked and has been for over 5 hours now. I'm using P3D v4.3 and flying the PMDG 748i. Cannot change views. Have restarted P3D and CP several times

3 What is the issues?

"ChasePlane and other SimConnect applications no longer interact with the sim"

Reset the wxstationlist.bin file

We have not found the root cause of this issue but with some add-on combinations, the wxstationlist.bin file causes SimConnect applications to stop working properly. Removing this file and letting it regenerate should fix the issue. This issue is not caused by ChasePlane as the file is not modified by ChasePlane.

  1. Shutdown the simulator
  2. Navigate to the following folder corresponding to your simulator version
    • %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
    • %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3
    • %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
    • %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX-SE
    • %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX
  3. Remove the wxstationlist.bin file
  4. Launch the simulator

I'm having this issue also, but only with the PMDG 747-400 and 8.  I believe it has something to do with the latest update that was released by PMDG and installed through the PMDG Ops Center.

I just ran a "Repair" on my 747 which brought it back to the previous version and it is working correctly with CP now.

What would be in that update that would break CP?

For me, it was a corrupted wxstationlist.bin file.

What did you do?  Just delete it?

I use AS4 and REX SkyForce 3D. I had 2 files named wxstationlist.bin located in the following directories:

C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 and D:\REX Sky Force 3D\files\wxstationlist\P3D

I suspect having 2 files with the same name caused my problems with CP.

I fixed the issues by deleting both files and restarting the apps and then the sim.

Works great now.

i did not have the wxstationlist in the xxxxx\p3Dv4 folder.  It appears that CP is not communicating with p3dv4.  i can move the sliders but the camera doesn't move in the view.  Keven from CP has stated to communicate with me and it is going very slow.  any idea why CP won't communicate with P3dv4?

I've deleted that wxstationlist file.  I've uninstalled CP and re-installed it, but, although it works great with all other aircraft, it is locked with the PMDG 747-8.

Any Ideas?

I currently have the same problem with the FsLabs Airbus. To make it work I have to:

1-Change the view via "Change view" menu in P3D, then
2-Close Chase Plane, then
3-Open Chase Plane.

Of course I deleted the wxstationlist.bin but....nothing, nada...locked!
