August 29, 200619 yr >>Finally we know that fileplanet has the beta in hand. My>>money is on next week, now we wait .:-kewl >>>What do you mean "now we wait"? We've been waiting already. >I mean now we wait some more.:-lol
August 30, 200619 yr One would think Fileplanet would be making a bigger effort getting the emails out at least since it been delayed by 3 weeks already. My guess is they are going to market it again by advertising it on the front page. They will soak it up for all its worth and then release it. So unfortunately next week does not seem out of the question to be honest. Right now they are still soaking up the Battlefield 2142 beta for all its worth. I am still a bit more optimistic and thinking we will get an email tomorrow though. I would imagine it would take "at least" a day or two to organize all the individual registration codes. I assume they got the program on Monday when tdragger mentioned it.
August 30, 200619 yr Quote dated from 08-17tdragger:>Getting close now. I have no idea how FP distributes their>stuff but some of you should (hopefully) be very happy in a>day or so. (But for gosh sake, don't tell anyone else!)Ok tdragger, I won't!
August 30, 200619 yr Might as well cancel it. With an October release date (if, in fact, that's right) they are so close to RTM that any feedback from a public beta would be useless anyway.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. FSX is probably in the final stages and most bugs are probably gone by now.
August 30, 200619 yr Feedback from a 2 week old beta would be pretty useless. Feedback from a new beta would be useful.

Perhaps my tounge in cheek estimate of Wednesday 6th September might not be far off! :-)
August 30, 200619 yr It will not be real beta as the product is expected to be released in 1 month. More like "payware trial version".
August 30, 200619 yr >It will not be real beta as the product is expected to be>released in 1 month. More like "payware trial version".Don't care what it's called as long as I get it. :-lol
August 30, 200619 yr >Don't care what it's called as long as I get it. :-lol Well maybe we will get it if we can just get those FP guys to stop flying around in it for an hour or two! :-lol:)
August 30, 200619 yr another day, another post, another disappointment...I know its not ACES fault now per Mikes blog. I think FP is so wrapped up in the FPS games that they dont even care about us simmers. FSX demo isnt even on their homepage anymore but, you can get the battlefield 2 guide for free now!!(snooze)FYI, to you mods you should think about putting this topic (Topic #15731) in the hall of fame..this has GOT to be the most watched topic on this forum. I bet everyones mouse button is getting worn out by hitting refresh all day long!
August 30, 200619 yr All this waiting is not good for my blood pressure :-lolI picked up on another forum that Fileplanet apologizes and is giving 1 month free to everyone who signed up for the beta. Not sure how true this is but personally I don't really care. I just want the beta!!http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/microsoftfl...3363&pid=931252I am going to email fileplanet and see if they will say something new. I doubt it will be good information but I am curious what they say. **EDIT**Okay they got the customer support email so hidden I can't find it. Anyone know what the customer service email is?
August 30, 200619 yr Until you see such news on Fileplanet or directly FROM Fileplanet, I would take it with a rather large lump of salt. It'd be a great gesture of goodwill, but a sigle sighting of this information from a public (non-Fileplanet) person doesn't quite qualify as substantial evidence. Let us know if your email turns up the same fruit!-Greg
August 30, 200619 yr even if its true, I think I speak for the vast majority here when I say....I dont care about the free month, just release the beta already!!!!
