So I don't need my imagination. They're really there! Randall

Just saw this thread, and I think the dolphin texture (dolphinsheet.dds) is missing, though it looks like there are some dolphins in animals.bgl."Let me help you out. You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."

Managed (accidently) to get my video card to show untextured objects, so here's one of those boats that normally appear only as a shadow:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154642.jpgWas going to get a before shot and then try a different technique of getting untextured objects to show up, but this is what I returned to after alt+tabbing out to run FSScreen. And here is a zoomed in view of what the untextured birds look like:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154643.jpg(No idea why the wings are green like that, just part of the odd graphic glitch that let me see the objects in the first place.)"Let me help you out. You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."

I had never seen any birds so I added some from the UKVFR LIbrary (correctly textured), and, guess what, the default birds showed up (untextured) :( sg1rv2.jpgsg7ce0.jpgsg13au3.jpgsg15iu3.jpgThanks to iss3.png for free image hosting.

Those are nice looking birds! Now, how do we get those in there?Randall

The animals.bgl file has model names and source file names for many animals. However the dds files are all missing. There are parrots, whales, dolphin, small med. and large elephants, eagles, gulls, crow, sheep, grizzlies, giraffes, flamingos, zebras, called out. Too bad they did not include them in the demo. Guess we'll have to wait for them. Regards, Bob.

It's going to be a lot of fun to go bush flying in Alaska and have deer grazing in big grassy valleys and stuff.:)

I see no birds and appear to be missing some larger boats as well.________________________________________AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego @ 2.6MhzNForce4-A939 mobo 1G FSB2x1G Cosair XMS Ram on dual channelsSapphire Radeon X1900XT Video Card @ XTX23" Apple Cinema Display @ 1920X1200Soundblaster Live24Saitek Cyborg EVO TrackIR4

There are a bunch of textures missing, that's why. Sometimes graphic glitches can get objects with missing textures to show up untextured. "Let me help you out. You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."

Just play the introductory flight and watch in the water just off the runway as the 747 starts it's takeoff roll.
