KDCA for P3D v4.4

Featured Replies

So who has the best KDCA for P3D v4.4...??

I'm assuming it's probably Drzewiecki Design..??

Any other alternatives..??

Scott

The DD version is what I use, it's part of an overall nice package for the DC area.  There is another version out there, tropicalsim I think?  I don't think it's compatible with v4 and I prefer the DD version myself.

Thanks.

I saw the Tropicalsim one, it didn't look that great from what I could tell, and there's no decent freeware around that i'm aware of.

It's not all DD sceneries I consider good, but KDCA is one of them and the one I'm using currently.

Yeap DD version is the one to go with. Could be better on textures, but it gets the job done, and the River approach is nice with the city of DC and surrounding area modeled. I’d recommend picking it up on sale, which they have frequently

So I got DD KDCA, just to round out my Washington/Baltimore area airport scenery's...

KDCA was the last one I needed to complete my collection of the large airports in the area, ie. KBWI, KIAD, and now KDCA

Even though DD KDCA is very detailed scenery, I found it to be very performance friendly, even with some weather, lowered visibility, and night settings. Nice addition, and i'm very happy with it...

Any of you guys have experience with DD EPWA Warsaw Chopin...?? I was thinking about adding that one as well, but wouldn't mind hearing any opinions on it...

Thanks.

I have the airport, not the city, but I haven't flown much in there. Anyway so far so good, I'm happy with it. But I like Krakow better.

polish airports are way better. So far DCA doesn't have sode nor bgl and tbh aspect quality is lower imo. otherwise it's not bad, but prepare your brakes cuz you'll end up in the drink otherwise.

My version of DD KDCA has SODE for sure... In the pic below you can see I have docked at gate B10, and now SODE is giving me the option to undock or exit.

Perhaps you need an update or something...??

That’s part of what makes DCA fun!

Weird. Was having issues with sode the last time I went there, so, who knows...

Indeed! did a MSP-DCA with a delta 739 and I failed the landing. Bounced 3 times with a -484 rating on the last one.... OOF! aand stopped just on time. I litterally **** my pants on that one

It's nearly as dangerous as SBSP, but with one side that doesn't have water...

Not to mention the fighter escort waiting if you stray from where you’re supposed to be on takeoff or approach.
