Hey Guys,

i purchased Pilot`s LEAL a fantastic Airport i pass by with my car nearly every year when we travel down near elche for vacation 🙂

But i have a issiue with GSX and the SODE jetways at LEAL.

I thougt GSX can control SODE Jetways?  Because i always have to dock the Jetways manualy via SODE Menu? 

Is this standard or a problem of GSX or Pilot`s ?

I've found that when the SODE runways are by the airport developer and it's not a FSDT airport, then the jetways must be controlled from the SODE menu.  This is true for Flightbeam, Imaginesim SX Design and others.  Because I use PMDG and the TAB key is bound to the CDU scratchpad, I use the alternate key command of Shift+J to bring up this SODE menu.... this is an optional setting you can add to their ini file and should be explained in their documentation.

I too thought the same, until, like Dan has pointed out, I found different.

🙂 Maybee i should RTFM a little bit more 🙂

Usually this happens when the name of the parking spot in the SODE XML file differs from the name in the airport file.

 

Changing the "AfcadGateName" and " AfcadParkingNumber" to match the airport file (AFCAD) should fix it.

Of course GSX can control all SODE jetways, even those coming from 3rd party sceneries. However, they must be made correctly. If they work only with the SODE menu, it means their naming doesn't match the data in the AFCAD.
