January 27, 20197 yr To all pilots, we are pleased to announce the final running of the Round The World Race. The race will start Feb 15 at approximately 22:00 UTC (subject to change). The route for this race will complete the route started in 2017 from Dubai to Phoenix.
January 29, 20197 yr Author Hey all, if you are going to be doing testing, please be sure the new Duenna works for you. This will be the 1st race using the all new Duenna as the old one will not output a map output any longer due to changes within Google. Please please test it using your racing setup as fixing bugs during race will be incredibly difficult. Thank you
January 30, 20197 yr "Final". Knew it was coming, all great things come to an end.. Posted a possible bug over at the RTWR forum.. FS RTWR SHRS F-111 JoinFS Little Navmap
January 30, 20197 yr I was afraid we weren't running it this year, even. Glad to hear that we'll be able to have one last hurrah, at least. Craig Taylor
January 30, 20197 yr Author Yes, the executive committee even aren't super thrilled about this race but we are pulling it together for this one. In future who knows but the race may need to change, Sim-Outhouse I assume will barely be able to field a team, Flightsim only have 1 - 2 pilots who are on SOH and even us we are starting to struggle, we should have enough but i think it will be barely enough. Just the way it is going I'm afraid.
January 31, 20197 yr i hope we will find some sort of equal thrilling event, that makes flight simming a team effort. realizing it was always a niche doing war birds. i would not mind racing either 1) GA aircraft 2) warbirds in super realism 3) warbirds all the same like all flying a2a mustang 4) airliners early generation. we will work something out eventually, eamon pleas keep the website alive. best regards leon https://www.dropbox.com/s/t1i2ps64jvzuzdp/Leon.png?dl=1
February 1, 20197 yr Author I will continue to have the website, I will post proper race history on it and it will stay going. Maybe in future someone will have an idea to bring the race back in some capacity that will draw pilots. Or maybe revamp the race entirely, we shall see.
