Those shadows cast on aircraft by the scenery are great! :-jumpyDoes this mean that airport lights will illuminate aircraft/scenery? Maybe in DX10? Sure hope so because it would be a vast improvement over FS9.

>I really hate bragging, but in this case I'm going to do it>anyway. Right Now I'm installing fsx beta 1 on vista beta 2. >I'll let you guys know how it goes.Perhaps he wasn't a tester. Everyone knows that these FS Beta versions have been readily avilable on the internet for years now. While I resisted temptation, I remember lots of people who had FS 2002 many months prior to release. The Vista beta is pretty widespread also. I would also think that if he were a beta tester, he would be smarter than to come on here to publicly break his NDA, probably some kid that spends a lot of time in IRC chat rooms. We have a few of those types where I work and I'm amazed at the things they find.CH

Perhaps I'm being too technical in my interpretation of your message, but, I doubt that the FS "developers" had or have any choice in what they are allowed to reveal and when. I would imagine the decision on what information is released when is up to MS's marketing department. Perhaps the developers also agree with the marketing plan, but I would bet money their (the developer's) heads are much more focused on getting the product finished so they can get home for dinner and some family, than they are worried how much information a few people out here on the forums will be getting a couple of months before the product is released.I would also bet that it is better that they wait till the product is finished before they go around promising what will and what will not be in the product.Patience, .... Bragging about using pirated software makes him even more stupid (but then so does using it in the first place) ;)

Cool!Like the shadowing effect, I just hope MSFS have also accounted for including dynamic lighting effects on structures. From what I have seen so far, many things are like FS9. The weather engine needs some work, all looking the same.

>From what I have seen so far...Which, quite honestly, isn't a whole lot at all... ;)
