Thank you, Pugilist2!

Love the touch of snow, always makes me remember the song, Somewhere my Love, from Dr. Zhivago.  Now I am dating myself and revealing my own Russian roots!

The Russians have known how to defend the motherland for years from invading armies and hordes from the south or west--nuke them with snowballs, it has proven itself since Napolean, and probably before that.  I think the reason the US fared well against the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge was for the same reasons--the Germans underestimated us and thought we were all from sunny California.  My uncles who fought in those battles knew otherwise, they were from like me--Chicago, America's Siberia, as well as them thar other frozen states like Montana, the Dakotas, Minnesota, and who can forget snow in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Ohio, or upstate New York and New England of course.

I have been removed from Chicago for almost 53 years and have still never thawed out, even though I am trying in Arizona which has had the coldest winter in years, with a brisk wind out of Siberia it seemed today.  They say our world is going thru global warming but I believe it is going thru global climate resettlement and certain filtrates in the atmosphere from recent volcanic eruptions may cool us down again, it has been a long time since we have had such high snow cover in the west and seen our watershed so high.  Our world is long overdue for a major volcanic event, and as CO2 increases forestation may resurge in formerly sparsely green areas, as the plant processes dig CO2 and pump out Oxygen.  But my theories are not worth much, I just think global chill when I see the vast ice of Russia!
