April 11, 20197 yr Ryan, Some great shots, looks like a nice flight. So what is your first impression of this new King Air. I've watched a few videos and she looks pretty impressive? Cheers Martin
April 12, 20197 yr Author I think it's great value for the price. I like it because I was bored of every other addon that comes with LR's G1000 lol. It's somewhat analogue but still has a nice EHSI with RMI for easy navigation. I like all the comms and navs up in front of the pilot so they're easy to tune when I'm flying online. I don't like the position of the EHSI controls (not a fault of the dev just the old king air). It's difficult sometimes to click a button for HSI source changes and manipulate the autopilot. The sounds are really impressive, especially when you open the little cockpit windows on startup. As you can see above the graphics are excellent too. It's modest on performance so even for my ancient rig (the GTX 980 isn't so old) I can enjoy it in most areas. The developer also stated recently they will support the Reality GTN's in a update down the road. It currently uses the default FMS which I'm not a big fan of. I still can't seem to get a Direct To working with Laminar's FMS. There is a somewhat annoying issue that I and others (per their forums) seem to be getting. Sometimes during level flight the AP altitude hold with cause the aircraft to pitch up and down, sometimes by quite a bit. I hope that get's addressed.
