You can assign a control key or button on your stick. It's in the control settings inside P3D. Scenery reload or refresh. I am not at my PC right now.

Any thoughts?

This absolutely worked! sorry for my late reply but thank you so much! Had over 8 gigs cached! Anybody that's having this issue, this is your fix!

The first thing I do when I experience aberrant performance is check CPU core utilization, GPU utlization, and memory usage.  It's really an almost-pointless guessing game to start troubleshooting without availing yourself of the available performance data.  Understanding what subsystem(s) are being saturated enough to hit performance is often a critical first clue.

Regards

How do you do that? Do you use any special benchmark utility or just window's task manager?

Thanks.

It sounds like a memory leakage

I wonder how much RAM do you have? Over 8GB cached should not be an issue at all if you have 16 or 32GB of RAM. However, the FPS loss after longer flights is also something I observe from time to time and I can not even think of anything that fills my 32GB RAM up that much. Will have an eye on the RAM usage the next time I observe lower FPS on approach, might be worth checking.

Greetings, Chris

I checked mine, and cache was 10GB. Specs in my sig.

And you also had reduced FPS upon arrival? If not, it seems to be only an issue for those with 8GB RAM...

No reduced FPS at all. Think your right, 8GB might be borderline.

Ballistix 16GB DDR4-3000. This fix did in fact help on long flights and didn't reduce my FPS on approach.

One thing to be aware of, it can cause long frames every 5 mins, if you set it that way according to the YT video.

I tested it and can confirm this. I run unlimited @30Hz  Vsync on. Results may differ in different system.
