August 1, 20196 yr Hi I used to use REX SF but gave up because I got too many glitchy clouds 😛 Purchased AS16 (WOW!!), and still want to use SF for the textures and EF for the environment stuff, how do I set everything up correctly? Currently, I have disabled REX sky force weather engine in SF and that's it. Thanks, Ollie i5 8600K @4.5Ghz 16GB RAM GTX1060
August 1, 20196 yr Just run EF -> AS -> P3D in that order, and you're good to go...don't have to tinker much with anything else 🙂 Romano Lara

August 1, 20196 yr Author Ok, guys, this is what I did I assume it's all working its night at the minute in my flight lol, so I cannot see alot but went into time preview and all looks good! 1) in EF I disabled 'Enable Weather Smoothing', everything else set on in Automated mode 2) I disabled everything on the 'engine' page in SF and installed the cloud textures etc 3) I started SF+EF+AS BEFORE starting P3D, then selected 'Active Sky weather theme' I think everything is working 👍 You guys can try this is if you want i5 8600K @4.5Ghz 16GB RAM GTX1060
August 1, 20196 yr Author ok now the sun isn't rising, definitely a EF issue 😂 i5 8600K @4.5Ghz 16GB RAM GTX1060
August 1, 20196 yr The recommended procedure would be: Start EF (No need to open SF, EF will use it in the background automatically) Start AS16 Start P3D That's all. No need to select any theme unless you absolutely want one, EF will select ANY cloud that is appropriate according to the weather. from your SF library.
August 1, 20196 yr That is what I was told in a reply from Rex as well. EF auto does what it says. Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Win 10 Home. 500g Samsung 960 as Windows home. 1 Gb Mushkin SSD for P3D. GTX 1080 8gb.
