Hi all,

I am trying to find out what is the best-realistic-good looking shader modifier in P3D v4. I have tried all of them, and coming from using EF only lately, I am reconsidering which is the best option.

Your input would be very beneficial for me and I am sure for many others. This way we may also see which is the most popular one among avsim users.

The "best-realistic-good looking shader" is in the eye of the user. At the end of the day its what looks best to you, no one else.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" as they say.

You say you have tried them all, go with the one or combo you like the most, anyone else's opinions are secondary to yours. I won't even say what I use as its pointless. This topic could end up with every combo under the sun as the "best" 😃

No shaders. Just "Standard Mode" monitor settings @ 4K.😁

Thanks for the poll.

I voted.

After trying ENVSHADE, I decided to stay without shaders because it can sometimes create issues or conflicts with other addons and I don't like tweaking/troubleshooting.

I too have become "less of a fan" of shader mods over time.

My opinion on them now, is that if used judiciously, they can set P3D apart from any other sim.   However, as a lot of us already know, they aren't often used judiciously, and problems can crop up with other add-ons.

Totally agree with this.

Some like their scenery very colorfull ( polaroid look ), or less sarurated, very bright, less bright, more contrast, less contrast, no haze, much haze, light shadows , dark shadows etc etc

It also depends on the settings and size of the monitor what someone prefers.

Sometimes my screenshots/vids are slightly different from what I really see in my cockpit ( light from outside )...

Lets agree that we all love Flightsimming  🛫
