ORBX and Scenery World Scenery folder

Featured Replies

hello,

i have recently lost all my ATC centers. while researching i discovered that my scenery.cfg file is missing the "scenery/world/scenery" entry. it has always been the first entry.

i know that ORBX projects replaces a lot of these textures.

my question (before i start messing with my scenery file) is; does the scenery.cfg file still need the "scenery/world" entry if you have the ORBX projects installed

thanks in advance

does anyone have any idea?

Might want to ask this over at their Orbx forum, will probably be able to answer your question quicker.

Yes. It should NEVER be removed from the scenery.cfg. And ORBX certainly doesn't remove it.

Agree, my scenery.cfg has Scenery\World set as Area.001 and I have all kinds of Orbx products installed.  Something else removed it.

The default P3D v4 scenery\world\scenery folder contains 17 files.

The full conventional installation of Orbx products adds around 795 aditional files.

It would not therefore make sense for the Orbx installer to then remove this folder's

entry from the scenery library.

001 is the default base terrain 002 is the default base scenery do not mess with them if they get corrupted all hell will break lose, elevation issues you will never solve and a reinstall will be needed.
