September 29, 20196 yr Hi, I just updated UGCX to version 1.2 and now when I go to bring up the menu, I get the message, "Ultimate Ground Crew X - Loading Data, Please Wait!", I will continue to get this message for about 4 to 5 minutes. Then I will get the message that "Ulimate Ground Crew X has been reset!". If I make any change under options (i.e.choose language) or to my airplane profile, it will go through this same process for about 4 to 5 minutes before getting the reset message again. I didn't see this happen with the previous version, so I wanted to see if this is a known issue or if I may be doing something wrong. Thanks for your help, Jeff
September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member I'm guessing you didn't uninstall V1.0 first. Go here assuming you're using P3D v4. C:\Users\***your user name***\AppData\Roaming\ Delete the ULTIMATE GROUND CREW X folder. Re-install V1.2. Re-activate UGCX.. Run FS. Best, B. September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member This is related with the stuttering issue....both are also related to the scenery index fast method. I identified what's probably causing this.
September 29, 20196 yr Author Hi Bryan & Manuel, I am glad it wasn't something I did or didn't do. I thought I had uninstalled everything correctly. But I did go back and made sure that everything was uninstalled and the folder deleted. I then went back in and re-installed, and still had the same issue. I appreciate you quick response and help. Love the product! Thanks, Jeff
September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member Update: We worked with the user who had this issue. The user had a HUGE amount of scenery. Intern solution is this: Open this file with notepad: C:\Users\***your user name****\AppData\Roaming\Ultimate Ground Crew X\Ultimate Ground Crew X.ini Change the 0 to a 4. BGLFileSizeLimit=0 to this: BGLFileSizeLimit=4 Next: Delete the scenery index files located here: C:\Users\****your user name*****\AppData\Roaming\Ultimate Ground Crew X\Scenery\P3D / FSX / FSX SE Select the P3D / FSX folder depending what you have and delete the scenery index files. Then re-start your Simulator and the UGCX scenery index files will regenerate. You'll notice your load times will be a lot of faster because only files less than 4 MB will be indexed. B. September 29, 20196 yr I tried to load a scenario with the 1.2 version correctly installed (after having deleted the UCGX folder in my appdata, obviously). Stutters, very long scenery indexing time (fast method ???) and "Ultimate Ground Crew X loading data" message during 5 to 10 minutes each time I modify something in the options menu... Please give us back the 1.0 version ! Thanks.

September 29, 20196 yr Thanks Bryan I've done the change you suggested and the loading times are a tad faster than before. Well done ! I'll be back to you after further tests. H.R
September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member Yes, and I think you already mentioned that it will solve it 😉 B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member Hey Guys, the "Loading Scenery Data" is because it's reading all sceneries inside the area you are located, as speak now, I'm doing a small change that will correct this and return the speed it had in v1.0. Let me explain a bit more. Scenery reader index has a code that speeds the reading of the scenery area. However, this was coded only on scenery index builder section, part of that "speeding improvement code" must be also placed in the part of the module that loads the cache that is where your aircraft is loaded when the sim is running. I'm doing that by now. Yesterday I arrived at home really late. So I'm on that now to then recompile. Also the PMDG loong pushback issue is being address along side this issue, which seems to be the most critical.
September 29, 20196 yr OK, Bryan and Manuel, After some testings with several planes and on multiple airports, I've found only one major issue : when switching languages (to get a french speaking ground team when going to a french airport, for example), UGCX takes a very loooooooong time to reload, as if it was scanning again the whole sim scenery. Is this normal, or maybe I am doing something wrong ?
September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member It's not normal, its a issue that showed up between v1.1 and v1.2, I almost have it fixed by now. But needs testing. Yes, it's scanning the bgl files again, but only for the scenery area where you are located at that moment. The problem is that it's scanning everything: including huge terrain related unneccesary data...that's slowing down the process. Edited September 29, 20196 yr by Manuel82
