I'll try not to sound too inexperienced, (been simming for years), but after the subject line upgrade, I had to drop my texture filtering from Anisotropic 8X to 4X, and my AA from 8xSSAA to 4xMSAA, or my frame rates plummeted from 30 FPS (fixed rate) to ~7 FPS at dusk or night at my home airport with the F22. Am I experiencing the expected results of the hotfix or does something sound amiss? Thanks

Michael

So strange? My rig is only half as powerful as yours and yet I'm holding above 60fps all the time. I did a fresh clean and full new install if that made any difference? This sim is so unpredictable!

i have most settings at max: graphics maxed out, lighting maxed, cars, boats, etc at 20....Air Traffic at 60, etc.

could be that the new hf2 p3d is still loading stuff in background....like i said...i'm all good 2-3minutes later on runway

Did you delete the shaders and the prepar3d.cfg after installation of the Hotfix 2?

Greetings, Chris

Couldn't this be caused by ai traffic, when jetways are being connected?

9800x3D (Strix x870e-E)  -  64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30)  -  RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR  -  Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2)  -  MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

If you have settings maxed like draw distance then it could be still loading when on runway, this setting is one of the biggest causes of slow loading and you can be into the screen while its still loading.
