Going to upgrade my WD 1 TB (C:) drive to a 1TB MX500 Crucial SSD. I have P3Dv3.4.22.19868 installed on a separate drive WD 1TB (E:) as well as it's add-on/s.

If I clone the WD OS drive (C:) to the SSD is this going to present an issue with P3D?

I have cloned OS before and has been fine.

but it think it’s  better to do a clean reinstall.

Wont be an issue. If there are no corruptions during cloning then everything should be business as usual.

Any recommendations on cloning software to use? The new drive is a Crucial MX500 1TB

Acronis if you dont mind payware.

Clonezilla if you prefer freeware.

Samsung DMS if you are cloning to Samsung drive.

I used Macrium Reflect to clone an entire harddrive that crashed  including everything on it onto a brand new HD. Zero problems.

Clone process went well. Only issue I had afterwards was UTL would give license issue at P3D startup. I had to uninstall/reinstall it to resolve it.

P3D will not know.. so.. No.

How about cloning of the P3D/add-ons drive (E:) to a new drive?
