Time acceleration in FS2020

Featured Replies

I havent read anywhere anything about time acceleration. For me it is a very important feature as I usually fly CRZ in 16x cos I have a life and am not getting paid for flying.

I hope we will be able to accelerate the time like in earlier iterations of FS. Did anybody catch something somewhere on this topic?

Really hope so as well.

The problem we may encounter is the bandwith may not be fast enough to load the scenery or the GPU not being able to load the weather.

A simple solution would be an option in the game settings to not load any scenery, weather or traffic while in time acceleration.

if it is possible it would be nice to know how "online" AI Traffic will work with it? In case of time acceleration there must be some kind of local/offline fallback

I normaly use 4x during cruise, so I also hope that will be included in MSFS.

I use 8x-16x during cruise, so I also hope this will be included in MSFS!

It is working. :) Key R and, you have to bind increase and decrease button. The name of the feature SIMRATE, you can search this in Keyboard config.

I programed two buttons on my joystick to increase/decrease sim rate in MSFS.

Really wish there was some display of what rate it's in.  I thought I was in 2x last night, turns out I got confused on where I put it, and it was actually on 4X.
