October 11, 200619 yr Gee, nice job sneaking around the filters like that. I'm glad you are passionate about your beliefs but offensive language is unnecessary. October 12, 200619 yr Perhaps you should email MS and ask them to do that there. Telling all of us here at Avsim won't help much methinks.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry

October 12, 200619 yr Dunno which was yours but those issues are best handled through product support.
October 12, 200619 yr Thanks to you and others. We got a half dozen or so emails today. But to be very specific, please send your DXDIAG output *and* a saved .CFG with your settings. We got one mail with dxdiag.txt and the message said he was running with sliders at "reasonable" levels. Sorry, that's no help. :(
October 12, 200619 yr Mike,I think the DXDIAG.exe info would benefit us the most. Thanks for pointing that out.

October 12, 200619 yr Commercial Member Well this is funny - right after I posted that about allowing stores to sell it, a friend called and happened upon a copy at one of the stores... just finished installing! October 12, 200619 yr Thanks 'TDragger' for starting an official thread. I'll refrain from comment as I watch and hope Aces along with the many talented people in the FS community get the performance issues figured out. I wish I had my new rig so I can join in the fun but sadly my PC is too old (2.8gig box with 1gig of ram ATI Radeon 9800XT)... :-)
October 12, 200619 yr Too old? I guess I don't understand that. Here are my specs...AMD Athlon XP 2.8ghz1024MB PC3200 RAMnVidia 128MB 6600GTSeagate 5400rpm HDDI run FSX just fine. Granted I am running it without autogen turned on and also without any of the other AI traffic/living world items on either. However, with the increased clarity of the new textures I find I really don't miss these things. All other sliders are set at medium to higher levels. I have my FPS set to 20FPS and it holds steady there in almost all weather conditions. I think one thing people have to remember is that it isn't always about what that little FPS number is saying. Turn it off...fly the sim...and judge it on how it "feels", not what the numbers are telling you. For me it seems like lower FPS numbers seem to be going a lot further in terms of smoothness of flight than I ever had in FS2004.
October 12, 200619 yr Don't know if this helps, but I sent two emails to first one on 8 Oct resulted in an "undeliverble" response from the MS server :* (I've re-sent today)The second one on 9 Oct generated an Out of Office response from a . :-hmmmWorth double checking there aren't any problems or redirections going on at the MS end?Andy
