Now I'm sure there was a perfectly valid reason to delete the entire topic, I have no issue with that, but in future, would it be possible to drop a PM to the person that started the topic, so we actually know it's been deleted and why. Saves me wasting time trying to find it and its just manners.

Dont forget political or religious beliefs, but it could have been because he mentioned either, competitive software, VR, hardware, degrading comments towards 3rd party, indirectly mentioning off topic issues which relate, or telling a joke.
