an undulating runway data question

Featured Replies

apart from the fact that I believe in undulation existence in the game where it has to be, it is not clear if this airport is one of the 80 with manual creation or one of the 37k edited.

Nice pic and thanks for posting... but the runway is not undulating, it looks perfectly flat.

Yes the runway looks flat to me too, the taxi exit is undulated though, we will have to wait to see if the undulation is possible only on grass or also with concrete apart from the 80 manually created ports.

Looks like it's just part of the terrain texture and not an actual in-game taxiway/apron.

Notice how the green taxiway/apron texture extends down alongside the runway?

If it was a real in-game taxiway/apron then we would not expect that "bleed" along the runway.

Oh give it a rest... The screenshot supports my argument.

Hate to say it, but if this pic was supposed to give some sort of positive evidence of undulating/contoured/sloped or whatever runways (as the name Undulating.png might suggest), I'm not seeing it either.

The subtle heat blur from the exhaust is nice though!

It is fine if the taxiway/apron is part of the terrain texture, and it is in-game because the editor from a top view can determine what is a taxiway/apron and what is not.

It is an in game taxiway/apron. It's grass, so they have no reason to make it a custom texture since the satellite imagery is enough.

That Hungarian (I think, I don't remember now) grass runway from the Airports video was the same way.

If that's so why haven't they used the same satellite imagery for the runway?  Does not compute, sorry.

Which airport is this, I want to check it out on Google Maps.
