March 30, 20206 yr Hi there, I'd like to buy a cheap (very cheap) tablet I can use as a little EFB for charts and the like. The Amazon Fire 7 looks promising, but I'd like to know if anyone knows anything even cheaper, even crappier? William Sandford Check out SwitchNowUnicom on Twitch! March 30, 20206 yr I use a 3 year old Lenovo tablet (Android, 10inch display) for Navigraph and also Sky Demon and VAC's for IRL planning. Works good. But I would def. Swap that one for a new iPad if I had the budget... Edited March 30, 20206 yr by SAS443 EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12
March 30, 20206 yr Moderator @WilliamS, why buy something cheap when there’s a better and probably cheaper solution? Instead of a tablet buy another monitor. Far more area and no lag time with your sim. I even found some for just over 60 quid. https://www.ebuyer.com/store/Computer/cat/Monitors?sort=price+ascending Ray (Cheshire, England). Amazon OS is somewhat of a closed OS (unless you can root and put on your own OS, which may not work very well--I speak from experience). Amazon has it's own store, so you can try looking there and see if there are any...maybe I should do that someday. 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
March 31, 20206 yr Grab a used Ipad 4 for less than a $100 on ebay. Mine works just fine for the RemoteFlight apps. I use the radio most. https://www.remoteflight.net/
