Alpha Invations

Featured Replies

Since the opportunity exists, I have applied as a tester for the alpha. Since the post by the developer on ther website, wich says that they are trying to give all applicants of my kind access to alpha, I was confused because I still have no acces to It. So i wanted to ask if there are any applicants who have been registered since the alpha program was launched but have not yet been accepted.

Please do not missunderstand this post. I con untersand If they set a limit for the tester.

Stay healthy,

Johannes

Yes, there are many of them, including me and we are frustrated.

9900k@5GHz, 32GB@3200 RAM, Strix RTX 2080ti, VKB Gladiator mkii, VKB rudder pedals

#1 means that some of the people that got an acceptance email to the Alpha, do not actually have access for various reasons (bugs).

#2 seems they will prioritize people that have been waiting longer.  There are many of us that have been waiting since last year.

And regarding #3, there are over 43,000 people that have signed up to be in the Alpha.  That is a big load for the servers, for the forums, and for the support staff.  Not to mention it creates more feedback, but also more noise.

So just be patient.  They know people want in.

My brother has Coronavirus, confirmed by testing. On 3/26 he almost didn't survive the night.  He had extreme trouble breathing and was given a steroid inhaler.  He was very weak, had nausea, and other issues that aren't pleasant.  As of this update he is feeling much better, and seems he will be fine.  Stay safe out there.  (Updated 4/6)

I wonder if Asobo could answer the following question;

If a user has been signed up on the Insider program since day one, but you have updated your system diagnostics because of upgrades/new computer, does that update alter the date of the initial signup?

AMD 9800X3D,  NZXT X73 RGB AIO COOLER, Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite WIFI7, 64GB 6000MHZ RAM, 4TB Samsung Pro NVME, 4 TB Crucial P3+ NVME, 4TB Crucial SSD, Gigabyte Gaming OC Geforce RTX5090, Antec C8 ARGB Case, X55 JOYSTICK/THROTTLES, LG 4K C4 42" TV/Monitor 120 Hz, 2 Dell 1080 monitors. Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle. Thrustmaster TPR Pedals. Moza AB6 FFB Joystick, Pimax Crystal Light VR, Tobii Eye tracker, Steelseries Arctis 7+ Wireless Headphones.

Probably thousands.... dont take it personally..

I changed my dxdiag, and it did not change my join date.

It is their plan to make the Alpha accessible to all those who signed up eventually, but we don't know for sure if that goal will be met, at least during Alpha testing (it is hinted that there will be a beta at some point too). They have been granting access to the Alpha in waves, and so far it seems that they are mostly interested in testing the simulator on systems equipped with 32GB RAM or more, so that should help. Right now there are many testing the Alpha (with the overwhelming majority being users with 32GB RAM), and many who are not. Do not worry if you have not been accepted yet, especially if you have a lower amount of RAM. You should keep checking your e-mail whenever an acceptance wave is going on (it is expected that a new one will begin today), and make sure to check your spam folder and the Xbox Insider Hub even.

Probably not too useful, but I have seen users on Reddit report that they updated their DxDiag file during a recruitment/acceptance wave, and receive an invitation in the same wave.

1. I signed up up for alpha testing right at the beginning.

2. I haven't been selected.

3. I don't care.

4. I have 16GB of DRAM

5. I'm not upgrading to 32GB

6. I don't care.😁
