And you could say the person that posted it on AVSIM reported it, as we know they follow the forum.

@simtom already recognized he overreacted, so I don't know why you are saying this.

I'm not having as many hard feelings for this guy as for the first one because this isn't of the magnitude of the first one. But you agree to an NDA when signing up so stick to it. It's that simple (or, apparently, it's not that simple for people who leak things). I'm wondering what he was thinking, given he seems to be wary of the NDA and that he's not allowed to break it, but apparently he thought just a bit of infringement while not too big would be okay? Just don't say anything at all.

I said the first part, because I wanted to point out it didn't matter if Simtom reported it, it was going to be reported and noticed.

And for the second part, it was a question.  You stated you will said

We are all grown up here and we don't need your patronizing attitude, I will say something if I want to.

I pity your need to report people like him but what can I say... congratulations.

What Tom said wasn't directed at you.  And the topic was the video and the NDA breaking or not.  Additionally you seem to support the guy talking about things in the Alpha that we didn't previously know.  So, are you going to break the NDA?  Or maybe you think this guy didn't break the NDA?  Do you agree that he said things about the Alpha that we didn't know?

Just trying to understand if you think it is OK, or somehow only OK for him but not you, or you don't think he broke the NDA, or it wasn't OK and you just don't like that he was reported?

(I think I have made my viewpoint clear, an NDA is a promise, and I take those seriously.  Do you not want to clarify your opinion?)

My brother has Coronavirus, confirmed by testing. On 3/26 he almost didn't survive the night.  He had extreme trouble breathing and was given a steroid inhaler.  He was very weak, had nausea, and other issues that aren't pleasant.  As of this update he is feeling much better, and seems he will be fine.  Stay safe out there.  (Updated 4/6)

pfff, it seems this is A LOT more complicated for you than it is for me.

I am just asking a question.  You keep avoiding the question.  It is a discussion forum after all.

I find it ironic that you don't want to talk about something, but it is OK for someone else to talk about things Asobo doesn't want talked about.  Anyway, I shall avoid asking you and domkle questions in the future.  (I am sure this will make us all happy)

why is it so hard for people to understand the NDA

If the NDA told you to go and jump off a clef, would you? I doubt it. You seem to be  more into the NDA then testing! Get back to your Job.

Guys, we all have said what we thought about the breach (or not) of the NDA and the reporting. Simtom said that he may have overreacted.  Are we going to keep that festering or go and talk of something else ? 🍻

Why would you agree to that?  So many people seem to have no problem breaking their agreements on here.  How can you be a honorable person if you don't honor your agreements.  I have lost respect for many on here.  😞

I think "the cache" subject is much more interesting than the NDA subject. Moreover we can do something about the cache (hopefully) but we can't do anything about the NDA.

This why I say that I'd like to force the download of a zone without needing to fly there (this functionality may come later).

In a nutshell you have to fly first somewhere before using the cache. You can't download for instance the map of Corsica during your sleep with your lousy connection and then play with it the next day. Not exactly what I had understood so far from Asobo's video (maybe wishful thinking from my part) and useful only for people with a cap on a fast connection.

Asobo have said that you will be able to pre-download areas and cache them. Being that this is an alpha, the fact it doesn't appear to have been implemented doesn't mean much. Maybe it has been implemented in an internal build not shared with the alpha testers yet? In fact, people getting worried about this is exactly why an NDA is required, and should be respected.

I came to the same conclusion after the above discussion. But I also think that keeping our eyes open on this issue is not absurd.

It's not because I spend a couple of minutes on Avsim that I'm not testing the Alpha. Relax man

You are the one that brought the NDA up this in "The cache" thread.

Yes, I did and I have apologized for that as well. What more can I do now?
