April 8, 20206 yr Hi Folks; I have run into a small problem here with my Sim PD3v4.5 while using the A330 MCDU Checklist Flow & FS2 Crew. It was noticed that while using the A330's MCDU Checklist Flow and the FS2 Crew panel been active it's causing some type of interruption that affects the MCDU Checklist Flow smoothly. I normally use the FS2 Crew not fully through for voice command only for the "Pre-Flight Event Count Down" and the "Clear Left" options since the Aerosoft products checklist call outs are included and must be used to advance any actions through any flights. What's taking place here its that while using FS2 Crew the A330 MCDU first Checklist call out "Cockpit Preparation Checklist" it only reaches the second item and quicks working totally. I have tested with both options (FS2 Crew active and inactive) that was the outcome noticed. While FS2 Crew was inactive the A330 CL Flow worked perfectly. After consulting for a few days with the Techs at the Aerosoft Forum in that regards and provided me a few instructions to isolate the problem, they have advise me to seek assistance with FS2 Crew techs and see if this problem has been reported previously. Any thoughts please? Regards, Fernando R.
April 8, 20206 yr Commercial Member Hi Fernando, I've never heard of this one before, and we've been selling the Aerosoft version for many years. Hard to guess. But try disabling FS2Crew via the Aerosoft Config Manager to try to isolate. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 8, 20206 yr Author Oh! Ok Tracking my friend will try that. One question; by clicking on Disable FS2Crew at the Configurator will not be able to use the panel for Pre Flight Events call outs at all or will just disable the voice & button ability...correct?🤔 NOTE!...Tried that Bryan, Disable Fs2Crew at the Configurator...Started the A330 on Cold State....Just out of curiosity I prompted the key for the FS2 Crew Panel and still Pop Up!...it's that correct?🤨.. so I proceed to the Cockpit Prep CL worked until "Fire Test" Call Out...nothing further happened and the Skip option on LSK2 Stopped Flashing as well.....Any Thoughts??🤔 Regards! April 9, 20206 yr Commercial Member If you disabled FS2Crew on the Configurator, FS2Crew would be removed from the panel.cfg and therefore not load. I suspect you used the wrong Configurator for the specific model you were flying. There are numerous different Configurators for the Aerosoft Airbus. B. April 9, 20206 yr Author Thanks Bryan for the response; 🙄Yipes! Numerous different Configurators?...So you are telling me that for the time being FS2 Crew cannot be used with the A330 at all in order to avoid that issue with the CLs flow until further notice or update its published by Aerosoft that will address that?🤔. I am curious then how come it does work fine while using the other Aerosoft 318/19/20/21 after the lasts update was published a few weeks ago?, I asked because FS2 Crew & the A330 used to work just fine prior to this latest update. Its that an internal matter of authorizations between FS2 Crew & Aerosoft and therefore we will have to stand by for that update?🙄. I will proceed to do a test and try to locate all of those other configurators and disable the FS2 Crew application and see what happens. v/r Fernando R.
April 9, 20206 yr Commercial Member As mentioned, I've never heard of this issue before, but then again most people wouldn't try mixing and matching the FS2Crew FO with the Aerosoft FO. The only way to be certain is to 'disable' FS2Crew via the Configurator that controls your specific model. Codewise, though, I don't see how FS2Crew could interfere with the Aerosoft FO, but never say never. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 9, 20206 yr Author 😏Understood my friend; I can wrap my head around that one either of how come both work excellent with the other Airbuses and not the A330🤨. Since most of the time I keep running into difficulties for FS2Crew to accurately recognize my voice commands I have only used the panel only for the PreFlightEvents sounds and fully use the MCDU CLs. I am also consulting with the fellows at aerosoft and have a great guy looking into it. By the way, in my last msg in that regards, I have to use the command "Het & Set" for the word not allowed thing to recognize "Set&Check" to skip...lol😅..Its crazy!🤪 🤔Additionally, I have noticed and communicated to him as well that during the recent updates installation of the aerosoft products it seems that the Configuration File was created in 2 different files at two different loactions on my D:\. I am thinking that might be the root of the problem. I am pending response from him about that. I am current doing that testing with the A330 and see what happens. Keep you posted. Thanks! Best
April 10, 20206 yr Author Hi Bryan;😏 I did a very careful re-installation process of all Aerosoft Airbuses yesterday and tested the A330 with FS2 Crew not activated and all the MCDU CLs flow went smoothly. I did another test with an A321 with FS2 Crew Activated and also performed smoothly. I will be doing a test again today with the A330 only this time will activate FS2 Crew and see what happens.🤔 Will send feedback of outcome. Regards, Fernando R. April 11, 20206 yr Author Hello Bryan; Feedback after Testing; Yes Sir!🙄definitely there it's an issue on the connection between FS2 Crew and the A330 MCDU Checklist Flow to work properly (With the Exception of all the other Airbuses). After reinstalling the product again, I have tested both ways and the A330 MCDU CL Flow works without any problems only by deactivating it on the Configurator. Any remedies being worked for that or it will remain as it???🤔 Regards, FRL
April 12, 20206 yr Commercial Member I just tried to reproduce this in the A330. FS2Crew was on the panel.cfg file. The Cockpit Prep Checklist worked fine for me. It went all the way through no problem. For the Aerosoft built in checklist to work and advance, the switches need to be the right position. For example, their checklist will say: "Parking Brakes", but for their auto checklist to advance the switches need to be in expected position.... otherwise it won't continue. Your problem may also be associated with using a custom panel state file. I do not recommend using those as they can sometimes cause things to load incorrectly. Best, B. April 12, 20206 yr Author 🤨"A Custom Panel State File?" What would that be for example?..I am lost!🤔Its this associated with State of the Aircraft when beginning the flight? Regards, Fernando R.
April 12, 20206 yr Commercial Member When you load the Airbus, you shouldn't use saved situation files. In P3D v4, the F22 should be the default plane on the free flight screen, then you select the Airbus. This ensure everything loads cleanly. B. April 12, 20206 yr Author Ok..I see!...Always follow my friend!🙂👌....But curiosity still kills me in regards to the A330 MCDU CL Flow, It must always be started on Cold State to begin with then?. I ask because the reason that how it all started its because the CPCL will begin but will get stuck at aprx the second item and the MCDU will not show the Skip option and this its while the F2Crew panel its running. The order that I have followed its to activate the Fs2Crew Preflight Events and wait for the FO to do its actions on the cockpit then immediately on the 34m and prior to do the walk around that's when I prompt the CP CL and then its when issue emerges. The tech that it's being working with me from aerosoft forum continues to point out that the FS2Crew panel its what causing it since I have already informed them that the test without it Fs2 Crew panel the CLs flow have worked smoothly....🙄Mind bottling isn't??..any thoughts?🤔 v/r Fernando R
April 12, 20206 yr Commercial Member It doesn't need to be started on the cold state. When I tested it, the engines were running I think. I don't load any panel state. I loaded the A330 direct from the Free Flight screen. Are you positive the switch is in the right place for the checklist item it's calling for? If the switch is not in the right place, the Aerosoft checklist will not go forward. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 12, 20206 yr Author Ok so I have done the test from TS Sate as well Quick Questions!.. 1. Free Flight screen meaning Splash Screen - correct?🤔 2. Are you positive the switch is in the right place for the checklist item it's calling for?....When you say "What switch exactly are you referring to Bryan?, Unsure,,,could you clarify that for me please?...sorry cant put my finger on this one to answer accurately!🙄 v/r Fernando R.
