Is TrueSky the default weather software on V5 or can it be turned of to have default clouds?

If Enhanced Atmospherics is unchecked, does that turn off Truesky, leaving default sky or is Enhanced Atmospherics only a setting for Enhanced TrueSky?

Enchanced Atmospherics is TrueSky, along with its new haze, atmospheric scatting, sky colours etc. Turn that off and you've got the old clouds and everything you saw in previous versions back.

Therefore if Rex Simulations amend Skyforce for V5  I can turn of Truesky and use Skyforce

Yes, someone already has, essentially; 

 

I turned 'Enhanced Atmospherics' off and was horrified to see those old horrid sky textures and clouds.  I hated it so much. 

The enhanced atmospherics is a great improvement to the lighting and light scattering.  Not perfect.  The clouds need work and we  need some shader mods.  That will come.

What also needs work is the precipitation effect.

Currently the rain is not influenced by windspeed and direction. Neither on the ground, nor in the air.

With Truesky active rain falls vertically to the ground even when you fly through it at 180 Knots. 😉

I wish they would have made that abundantely clear in the release notes.

 

i see great pontential in it, but not in its current state.
