I have the plane and for me something that i REALLY hate about it is the fact that they still use that outdated cockpit lighting system used in FSX: The cockpit lights only work after certain magic hour in the sim. I really hate that. A deal breaker for me since im usually flying at dusk and i have to wait in a dark cockpit until the "magic hour" kicks in.

This is not the case, perhaps you need to install the latest version.

Is this airplane worth spending $75 for P3Dv4.5 ?

The Qualitywings 757 which comes with the 200, 300 and freighter variant, has a great sound pack, over 100 liveries, and a detailed 210 page manual will set you back $15.

Is it "study level" (whatever that nonsense term means)? No.

Does it provide outstanding value for very little money? You bet.

I've found the reason for the missing sounds.

The dll.xml need to be modified with.

<Launch.Addon>
     <Name>Captain Sim Sound</Name>
     <Disabled>False</Disabled>
     <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
     <Path>Captain_Sim\bin\cs.sound.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

Pardon my ignorance, but can you tell me where this file is located? Also, can you get Ace to link specifically to P3d v5? I  have both v4 and v5 installed on the same pc.

Cheers, Pete

OK, so I bought the CS757. I am very, very impressed. It is a fantastic airplane. I don't understand all the negativity  about this plane.

I think it's great. All this nonsense about not being a "study level" aircraft - if you want that, go and get yourself  an ATPL!    The systems all work and the plane gets you from A to B. I think CS did a great job with this one and I believe the 767 will be even better.

Thanks to everyone for all  your input - appreciated.

No. But thats a personal opinion, I wont ever support CS, their customer service is atrocious and their pricing structure is daylight robbery.

What's "fantastic" and "great" about it? You sound like you're a member of CS's marketing team.

No, don't buy anything from CS. Most regret it within a week.
