May 8, 20206 yr Hey guys, Is anyone else seeing this with GPU and CPU. My settings are pretty much the same as in P3D4.5 but what is going on with the mismatch. Yesterday night the CPU wasn't getting hit 100% and today it is and GPU is like well barely moving. What gives??? I got same results with true sky off and using standard ASCA Even Sim is reporting different values as compared to Windows GPU VRAM. It should be kinda be same don't you think? May 8, 20206 yr Task manager doesn't show correct GPU usage for P3D. Also, P3D only displays its own allocated VRAM, not the full amount. Task Manager also shows what Windows is using and other applications. May 8, 20206 yr Author Well - Looks like it is go again Windows for some reason doesn't report the GPU at all for v5 but for v4.5 it shows As @Sethos mentions the issue above I had to use GPUZ to see my vram usage - Wow it was it only approx 5gb-ish which is awesome. I did disable True Sky for now - just seeing things which work well with Activesky P3D+ASCA See pic Below How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)
May 8, 20206 yr Whenever you are looking at CPU usage, make sure you can see the individual CPU cores.. The overall number is of little use. Depending on where you are flying, the texture loading cores may be idling or running hard. A single snapshot does not tell you anything.. Bert

It is the Core 0 issue that is the only 1 core which is being hammered.
