Some weird things going on with the textures on the number 4 engine of Kpeterscr's 747 screenshot.

I have also seen it...maybe not bad textures but a damage model??

I already said how impressed I am by that Alicante shot, but what really hits me is that I go to that avenue once a month for work in a clinic located there, and I'm actually able to locate and discern the clinic in that shot, which is incredible. I live in Valencia about 180km to the north, a city also covered by photogrammetry, and my terrace is depicted in beautiful detail. I can even see the terrace furniture, so I can't wait to fly over it and wave hello from the plane and see my own furniture sitting there. All in a flight sim with the default scenery! It is mighty impressive...

Now we in Spain are lucky as most of the countries mayor cities have really good photogrammetry coverage. Nothing new as we had SpainUHD before, which could rival Orbx and is completely free, but the detail here will blow even that out of the water.

Can't wait to get an alpha invitation just so I can raise a bug report informing Asobo that I changed the layout of my terrace and that they need to correct that in the sim. It will be the most significant alpha feedback that Asobo needs for MSFS to be considered a full fledged sim and not a game. So let me in, you need me!!!

In the above mentioned screenshot, the snow-capped ridge on the right hand side that goes down to the "HUD meters" on the bottom right corner, its snow cover ends all of a sudden on its left hand side. It looks as if some generic texture is overlaid there. Anyway, probably not much to worry about 🙂 as things will improve in the future.

I don't think so.

I can tell you my screenshots look exactly the same in this site as in my hard drive, and I don't see anything in the other screenshots to think that they were tampered with.

Same here - I can’t see any difference.

Good catch. I suspect is the AI doing its job of replacing some anomaly, such as dense cloud or deep shade in the Orthophoto, with a patch of texture that blends in better. Having done this myself manually for some textures generated by Ortho4xp, I'd say it looks very good for an automated fix. There are many imperfections and problems in the satellite images that will need this kind of treatment. While not perfect, the goal is for them to be less noticeable and more convincing than the anomalies. This also shows that MS are showing screenshots that include some 'warts', if you will.

It seems to me that the snow only appears to end abruptly because of another (sharp) ridge in front of it. On the extreme left side of the picture there's a green mountainside that seems to end in a similar way, also because of a ridge in front of it.
