  1. I have also seen it...maybe not bad textures but a damage model??
  2. Real Flight Dynamics/Physics Real weather dynamics/Physics like real turbelence model, windshear, vortices, real time etc. All weather data must be synchronized from many sources not only from metars. Also you have to rethink about flying through big thunderstrom cells or cancel your flight due to severity.Weather affect aircraft perfomance ex ice accumulation, hail damage etc Environment affects aircraft perfomance ex hot day, high alt airports etc Sloped Runways affect perfomance too Ground Friction model AI flights synchronized with real flight schedules from many sources like flightradar24 etc Realistic Failures Model Realistic Crash model (fire ,broke up wings etc ) Contaminated Runways affect perfomance Advanced features for hardcore simmers (ACARS , CPDLC,Multicrew functionality etc open for 3rd party devs) Real time database to update automatically every new change for airports ex new runway ,new building construction -geographically ex magnetic variance etc Updated Navdata Fix the real time bug utc time zone local etc Flying north -south poles easy, north poles routes from us to asia without problems Weather radars depiction up to 320nm and so on ex earth curvature or ground cluster would affect depiction etc
  3. Some of my thoughts here from the trailer: 1)The sky in the new sim looks like the TrueSky from Dovetail Flightsim 2)Airbus cockpit looks identical like aerosoft airbus. The cockpit seems to be fully operational (fmgs radio panels ecam etc) I believe Dovetail gave up their flightsim because MS found their platform as opportunity to begin a new big flight simulator project.Aerosoft is involved for sure. I noticed also like gsx people who knows...gsx and orbx involved too?.Just wait. My last thoughts: It will be a full flight simulator platform for both hardcore and totally newbie simmer.
  4. Flightaware uses routes outside of the US too. Eurocontrol has preferred flight plan routes database too. I like to flight plan using SimBrief (try PFPX too) with flightaware and skyvector and validate them using eurocontrol (if using EU airspace)
  5. Nice try to "beat" the real flight but you have to take into consideration the following : -actual winds (little difference with as) - traffic at the airport (delays) -cost index of that flight -payload -their actual flight plan could be optimized for less fuel or less cost or wind optimized with weather avoidance, nats , volume -a little divergence between flightradar24 and real flight
  6. it is definitely 737 MAX.. if they are not aircrafts and only an implementation? e.x 777 CPDLC 747-8 CPDLC 737 NG MAX :P
  7. global already announced 737 max for sure. if it was the 787 or 767 or 757 they would be between 777 and 747...but if they are moved above ?? :P it is not 757..level d have already announced it is 80% ready i think 767 or 787 or 777ER and between 737 max and 737 NG version 3.. the totally blank maybe a different aircraft or xplane ac
  8. It will be not a problem if VA's arrange it.At least not if there is a special event. Does not need VA's to provide gate data.If you search the net you can find everything you want. For exaple take a look at flightware, flightstats ,flightview etc.You can find departure and arrival gates from many airlines, flight numbers etc
  9. @Kyle thats why i said VA real operation events (ex one day a week or a month) to have a virtual dispatch position 😅That means that we would need an interface for dispatchers too so it is a bit tricky
  10. One day i had a big idea...Virtual dispatchers live monitoring virtual pilots as part of VA's (real disptachers gonna hate :P) Is that day now coming with your new GFO? I mean now except from Vatsim/IVAO etc events we will have real VA procedure events with live virtual dispatchers ,flight operarations etc ,communication between pilots and va's operation centers through acars etc Close enough? 😀
  11. ooouaaaoou i was the one who guessed the secret project?? 😎😅
  12. i forgot to add shared cockpit functionality.Anyway another good idea would be a "live piloting" with logbook ,maintenance status etc. What i mean. Imagine an application that you and many people around the world want to fly the same aircraft as you have in your sim. Mike flies the 747 from YSSY to KSFO.Lands and park at the gate A12 at KSFO.Hours ago he had talked with Jason to pick up the aircraft from that gate and fly back to YSSY as happens in reality.Jason will pick up the aircraft as Mike had left even with all switches at the same position. If Mike had a hard landing or he had forgotten weather radar on Jason will have to check the logbook first to see in what situation the aicraft is and of course turn off the weather radar OFF :P Finally Jason he could not fly or his flight would have been delayed due to maintenance etc and of course when Jason will have arrived at YSSY again another person will fly the same registered aircraft and must check the log if everything is ok and so on..
  13. I thought that expo was at 6 of june.So if i can i will let the poll to continue untill 2 days more 😁 And yes i forgot the wood pigeon 😂 ***I could not re edit the initial post so unfortunately the poll will remain closed.
  14. Good day! As we get closer to the FlightSimExpo i made a poll to guess what the secret project will be from pmdg. Just for fun.It has nothing to do with reality.Lets keep it as simple as possible.Thank you (where is my poll i made?)
  15. Did anyone notice the third FMC ? an active DNLK option? i believe it's a datalink function that you can communicate with ATC via text?? <s>That was the big secret project? 😋 Maybe not the big project but something big like acars, aoc etc</s> i have searched it a bit what exactly is this? log? the only image i could find
  16. @Kyle Thats the point where to find those forecasts even though are less than the period i had written above (yes a 24h forecast maybe was an exaggeration,my mistake) 🙂
  17. I found this amazing pdf about direct routes, en route operations etc : https://skybrary.aero/bookshelf/books/262.pdf
  18. @ Kyle A flight dispatcher is supposed to release the flight plan during the 1-6 hours before the sceduled flight ,right? During that period weather may change or not.A six hour forecast should be known to him @Victoros Yeah i had checked it .As Driverab330 said they have WSI maps in real life.Honestly those maps i am trying to find online or similar (echo tops radar refl etc) with a vaild period at least 6h or more.I came across with this nice site check it : http://wxcharts.eu/ It has every region except for australia and asia mainland @downscc Ι have seen the link you've just posted but as i described above i am not talking about sigwx or sigmets, wafs etc
  19. Hello simmers again.I am trying to find the best forecast weather site for flight planning but i have not found anything yet.I am talking about international forecasting (no us continental) For example lets see the flight of JAL771 from RJAA to YSSY.The flight dispatcher had to build the flight plan according to the weather due to the severe thunderstroms in the south pacific.Lets take a view : As you can see there is some nice formation of TS east of the route moving N-NW.I am trying to find a site that you could see the forecast for the next 24h or more (loop or not) and build the route based on the weather forecast. Yes i know noaa does a very good job but only for the US.(dont take into account the WAFS or SIGWX,i want something like CONVECTIVE zones, echo tops, radar etc)Take a look from noaa's service: I have found some useful sites but i am not satisfied. sites : https://sites.google.com/site/acnetworkweather/home https://www.metcheck.com/WEATHER/clear_air_turbulence_charts.asp https://www.weatheronline.co.uk (search for expert charts) https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather-map http://ww1.jeppesen.com/aviation/personal/ain-weather.jsp http://www.eldoradocountyweather.com website has many maps but i could not see any forecast map with period from now untill one or two days forecast Suggestions?
  20. First of all i forgot to say hello! @Kyle Almost always i like to surf the faa ois and aviation weather sites and see what happens with restrictions delays and weather/volume escape routes, advisories etc (as you had explained at the youtube video and thanks for that!) So in the US there aren't any serious restrictions except from some traffic management advisories that faa ois system has made public.Fro example volume, weather etc.I prefer the flightaware routes too but usually I build some routes before ending up with what i want. I did not understand exactly the NRS routing.Where can i find this method online?
  21. What are the standard procedures/limitations to build a flight plan route with a mix of direct waypoints and airways ? (IFR flight planning only) How to know if the direct waypoints are valid ? (dont consider CMFU validation or i have to? ,ex min FL-max FL to fly etc) I see many flight plans (flight aware) are a mix of direct waypoints and airways. From vatsim i came across with this : In IFR flights there are few occasions when to fly direct instead of using airways. These situations can be: 1) when the distance is too short as to join an airway or 2) when the SID and STAR fix is the same or 3) when offered as a shortcut by ATC while enroute. dont care about 3) Should I take into consideration the RAD restrictions(only common in europe?) (i am not talking about FRA airspace)
  22. What about an Ipad implementation on every aircraft..like an ipad EFB not only in pmdg a/c
  23. Very dissapointed.I liked some features like TrueSky and windshield rain For me the best simulator out there would be a combination of P3D landscape, textures, water, sky, addon products etc with Xplane 11 physics is this the secret conversion project from pmdg? 😂
  24. Nice prediction! What about a simulator inside the simulator? I mean crash/icing/physics etc simulator inside the p3d,xplane I dont think that would be a CPDLC at this time.Swift vatsim client is not finished yet.
  25. Hello fellow simmers. What is the difference between EDTO and ETOPS operations? I have searched the net few times in the past but i did not fully understand. from pprune forum : - ETOPS in EASA is not the same as ETOPS in the states or EDTO for the Aussies. in EU land ETOPS is for twins. - EDTO applies to all aircraft. ETOPS twins only - EDTO less restrictive for the operator. (Not as generous as ETOPS eg weather window duration, min FFS required) All that correct?
