Do you guys think if the rumored 350tdp on the 3090 is true I can run a single one off a 750 watt power supply?

Here's Nvidia's specs for the 2080 Ti FE and 2080 Ti respectively:

For a GPU with a TDP 100W higher, you would expect the recommmended system power to be 750W.

Looking at your CPU, under load it can draw as much as 235W.

Looking at the GPUs, using the 2080 Ti FE and 2080 Ti as potential comparisons, they can draw as much as ~450W.

Your PSU @ 750W - 235W CPU - 450W GPU = 65W left to run the rest of you system.
That doesn't take into account that the 3090 might draw even higher wattage.

IMO, it's unlikely that a 750W PSU will be enough for maximum load, IF, the 350 TDP rumour is true.

Yeah I ran a few calf sites and it is close. But I read of so many people running 1080ti in sli easily off 750. So it got me thinking

Been waiting for this next batch and MSFS to be released or P3d v5 to have some hot fixes released before upgrading. My 5 year old system has worked pretty well but I can’t wait to see what a new rig can do on these new sims.

Is Nvidia doing a smaller nanometer for the 3000 series? Might be more energy efficient...or at least one can hope...
