Realair Duke v2 and GNS500/530 (resolved)

Featured Replies

Hi chaps,

I've been trying to put the GNS500 into the Realair Duke V2 in P3d 4.5 but having no luck at all. The 2D version works ok, but the panel in the VC seems to have a sort of ghost GPS gauge, the screen is messed up (as you can see) and none of the buttons work. Can you help me set this up? I only really bought it for the Realair Duke.

Cheers

John

Do a search in the forums - there is a great deal of information for integrating the GNS and the piston Duke.

Yes I did search before I looked but unfortunately all of the posts are completely incomprehensible to me and include code I don’t understand in files I’ve never heard of. I was not of the impression that quite so much legwork was required to get this to work - is there anyone who can give a very simple, non-programmer’s dummy’s guide to getting this thing to work?

Hi,

This is really simple and doesn't require any programmer degree, just some patience and willing to learn modifying some files, which otherwise are also key files you might want to learn about just for your day to day FltSim pleasure.

You're nearly there and it seems you're already mastering a lot with what you've posted above! You just need to remove the bezel around the screen and if you're searching this forum with the following keyword, "nobezel", I'm certain you'll find plenty of explanations.

Hang in there, it is worth it!

Send me a PM with your email address and I can send you a panel folder that should work..

I erroneously posted this but may as well put it on the forum as I don't want to keep disturbing Bert, and thank you so much for your help, Bert. His panel configs worked fine, but now I'm getting the GPS frame within screen. What do I do to get rid of that? Thanks JSvxMN.jpg

You have to set the "No Bezel" option for the VC version of the GPS500.. which is included in the ini file that I sent you earlier.  Or, you can set it in the RXP GNS settings for the airplane.
