Beta 15 – Coming Soon

  • XPD-8413 Updated art with compressed textures for some assets.
  • XPD-10804 Crash in paging plan.
  • XPD-10927 Shared framebuffers now have a default D24S8 depth/stencil buffer attachment that is used when we don’t share depth/stencil natively.
  • XPD-10930 Fixed viewport area fails after window resize.
  • XPD-10933 Fixed crash if holding a plugin VR window when it goes away.
  • XPD-10934 Assert that view area is fubar.

HAHA, swearing in release notes is awesome 😄

“(Word most definitely not allowed)-ed up beyond all repair”

The acronym dates back to at least WWII, commonly used in the military.

I just completed a flight from EGPH to EGLL in the IXEG 737 1.32. Beta 15.

Also running simlink and navigraph, ASPX, Traffic Global at 50% and True Earth for all England/Scotland.

Great flight. Cloud flashing much reduced. Locked FPS at 30 and maintained that on final approach into Heathrow.

I've been seeing scenery tearing (white wedges toward the horizon) since the Vulkan beta's but did not notice it on this flight.

I need to test more but I would say this beta is pretty good so far.

B-16 should be coming out early next week with fixes for most of the things brought to light in B-15 according to Ben.  Please be patient guys.  Remember that this is beta and Laminar is letting us participate in their build programs.  I have never known any other developer to allow this.  We are being allowed to be part of the developer team.  Enjoy the ride or go back to 11.41.
