Historical Live AI Traffic

Featured Replies

Just wondering whether it's possible to fly with historical AI (from 2 days ago, for instance) pretty much the same way we're choosing historical weather with AS

Thanks

Historical AI and historical weather would be nice both. I know, in the winter time I want to experience both weather & traffic of the summertime!

I don't know offhand of any AI programs that specifically say historical but it seems to me that if you change the system date the AI program will schedule flights according to the timetable for that day. Just a guess tho.

I hope so. Especially since after COVID, airline schedules are a joke compared to what it used to be.

It's getting busier. Slowly, but steadier.

Is it injecting live traffic via schedules or via ADS-B data?

I agree, historic weather and traffic is a most essential feature for me.

Being limited to live weather and traffic is problematic if

- you want to fly at a certain time of day in the sim and/or in a certain time zone

- you want to fly at a certain time of year in the sim

- you want to train the same scenario repeatedly several times

- you want to relive the weather you experienced once in real live

- you need to pause the sim (at least if you pause for a prolongued time)

- you use time compression / accelerated sim rate

- you need to save the flight midflight and continue the flight another day

- etc.

In all these cases live weather and live traffic would just be plain wrong.
