I understand that was a Tbm not an a320 but it’s been mentioned a few times that the jets aren’t optimised well, not yet anyway so I don’t think we know how well they may perform in a few months is all am saying. What I’ve seen so far when you add it all up, is pretty good, amazing infact for a simulator that’s not even been released yet. I get it...but the fps number when this low (20-40) can really be misleading at times. What is really going to matter is not the fps number itself, but rather the smoothness of your view and your control inputs when on final approach and landing..trust me. If you don't have butter smooth control input when trying to land then you wont have smooth landings (especially in jets where your ground speed is much higher, requiring more control fidelity). It's just something to watch out for is all...not trying to ruin the parade here. Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

Agree with you on smoothness coming ahead of actual fps count, I don’t think I will even use the fps counter, my settings will be based on the feel and the immersion factor but it’s a good way to base how I expect it to feel for now an for some debate. I agree with some of your points though an some people won’t be happy, it’s all about people’s expectations an like you say if your expecting 4K ultra quality are in for a shock, I don’t think I’ll even take a look avsim on the 18th.... well maybe for a laugh perhaps!

The nice thing about MSFS over X-Plane is that you don’t actually HAVE to monitor the FPS count. Kills me in X-Plane (especially when I connect to VATSIM) when I have to monitor it to make sure it never drops below 20. Pulls me out of the sim. Assuming most know this, but if you drop below 20 FPS in X-Plane you are no longer flying in real time. Edited August 15, 20205 yr by FlyingInACessna
August 16, 20205 yr Well, I just learned that 3440x1440p is not actually 4K and that I don’t have a 4K monitor hahah so my performance should actually be comparable to this video :))
August 16, 20205 yr Amazing scenery!!! Love the way the ambient light reflects off the buildings combined with the excellent use of shadows! Chris Camp
August 16, 20205 yr I have almost the same specs as the one used in the video (Ryzen 5 3600 and not a Ryzen 7 3700X). I hope having 2 cores less won't result in lower performance. Also keep in mind that recording takes up some performance as well, so his CPU load was probably higher than usual.
